Hopefully he'll have a better life than John Akii-Bua

I'm utterly lost without it.

Man I already miss the Olympics. Just a few nights ago I was searching through the channels looking for a handball match or Gymnastics or something and couldn't find anything. Now it's all football football football. I like football too, but I do wish Handball had a following in the US. It's a pretty interesting sport. Same with Ping Pong, which I did see some of during the games and thought it looked really cool.

Yeah, at first nobody cares much but then you realize how special the Olympics are, with all those sports, athletes and nations that no one hears about except during those two weeks.

At least now we have internet, back when I started to love the Olympics (1996, not that long ago though) you would not hear of those particular athletes and sports for the whole four years pratically. That was hard, being nostalgic at all especially having developed an inevitable crush for some hottie in there

One of the things I learned from the Olympics was where the Ping Pong players train happens to be in the Bay Area, in Milpitas. There are so many ties to the Bay Area in the games (Mostly the swimmers from Cal but many others too) that this was something you just don't hear about.

That was the low point of the closing ceremony for me.
