Capoue and Sissoko can be available for the right price, so better now for Tottenham.

100k/w wage + 15k/appearance + bonusses per game win/goal scored/assist/...
Signing fee is indeed 3m

how is that bad?

450 000€ monthly salary plus huge bonus for a guy who's frankly an above average player (certainly not a star).

Arsenal should have sold him a year or two ago when he asked for a ridiculous salary. Now, they're better off signing at that price than losing him for nothing.

It's still too much though. I feel this is a reactionary move, if Walcott had left then the pressure would have got even greater, better players than Walcott have left. It sets a dangerous precedent, I'd not have players hold clubs to ransom but it happens.

He's a good player and will be a big part of this team. But he wont be Fabregas or Henry great, he will just be good.

I'm glad to have him signed up but we are paying more then he warrants/

Walcott is not a top player. Heck, most of the time, he's on the bench.
Money spent wisely is a better option.
Sign a Ben Arfa for peanuts two years ago and sell Walcott.

Do you know how a firm works? Do you have a job?
If a secondary player gets this type of salary it will have two consequences :
1- Star players will ask for twice that amount.
2- Average or half decent players will ask for much more money.

In any case, it's a bad move, but one they had to do because they didn't sell Walcott as soon as he asked for superstar type of money.

it's a bad move to you but not to the one's who get paid million's to do their job..

walcott is a top player on this club... i have no clue what you are talking about... stop going into the past.... this is the present.. his pace alone is worth half the contract

Just put this way Arsenal could have used that wage amount to sign someone better in the summer window
and now they won't spend that much again without selling someone first

So you mean I said "bad move by Arsenal" thinking it was a bad move for Walcott?

This makes no sense at all.

Walcott is not a top player. He has 10 starts on the season. Arsenal has played 21 games.

If your top player spends more time off the pitch then on, then you're in trouble.
If you're so impressed by Theo's pace, I'm sure you loved Shawn Wright-Philipps didn't you?
How about you sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang? He's probably as fast as Walcott (while being stronger), he's just as good a footballer (if not better), and he'll cost you two peanuts.

Arsenal have two players on 100,000+ now I think Podolski and Walcott

why would there be a change of mentality in the boardroom and make it 3 or 4 players without cutting somewhere first?

Would rather pay Walcott that 100,000+ or the possibility of buying someone much better and being able to meet their demands of wage.

Walcott is making more than Arsenal's two best players Cazorla and Wilshere
