Bale will win player of the year, if for nothing else than Ferguson can go on another rampage like he did when Ginola won.

Mata deserves Player of the Year, but won't get it. As long as it goes to Suarez rather than Bale or RVP, I will be happy. Young Player will be Bale, it would be absurd if it wasn't.

Hazard's first season certainly wasn't up to his standards, which is logical coming to a new league and team, but he's still a finalist for both awards.
Good.

Alex Ferguson won't be available at the start of next season (unless he wants to manage games in wheelchair), he needs a hip surgery during summer.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie, 29, sent CNN host and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan a signed picture of himself with the Premier League trophy.

Went to see City/Chelsea at Yankee Stadium yesterday. It may have only been exhibition but pretty much all the top guys were on the pitch. Great experience.

Pretty remarkable era comes to and end as Peter Hill-Wood has officially stepped down as chairman of Arsenal.

He was a third generation chairman of the club, his family has been in charge since the 1920's, even though they sold much of their holdings of the club two decades ago.

I doubt there are any other families with such influence over a major club in the history of the game.
