Improve from within.

That's what teams who can't make good acquisitions in the summer claim they are doing.

Truth, try to sign Parise, fail, try to sign Suter, fail, try to sign Brodeur, fail. My plan all along as been to build this team from within.

I'm just amazed some people actually think we can get out of the first-round.

If Stan can't sell the city of Chicago with all this good young talent that is here...imagine if he was the GM of Winnipeg, Columbus or Calgary.

He's not as bad as Howson or Feaster. Those two are AWFUL.

Nah, he blows. I wonder if I could make a clever pun with his name?

Yeah. I hate it when posters say that, or when claims are made that x/y/z players are going to improve, so the team inherently will be better. Almost EVERY team can make the same claim. It all evens out.

All I know is that everything's Bowman's fault.

Everything.

not trying to defend bowman or anything, as i admit a lot of things are his fault. BUT, believe it or not, we can improve from within. The blackhawks will get out of the first round, we had 101 points last season, this year will be better i just know it! and watch for kaner to have a big year, might pass his career best of 88, i just know it.

Kane's point total will depend on the PP. his ES play has been relatively consistent the past 3 seasons.

Agreed. I think the coaching will look different, maybe even another new one. I can't see how that would be a bad thing.

Except your "dream" team still has the "worst" goaltending in the entire NHL, according to Hawk fans. And, using unbeatable logic: Since Bernier's SV% was barely better than Crawford's and Emery's, playing behind one of the best defensive teams in the league, it stands to reason that, in coming to Chicago - one of the worst defensive teams in the league - that his SV% would plummet and his GAA would sky-rocket.. making him, in effect, just as bad - if not worse - than Razor.

Boom. Bam. Slam.

Can't you all see? It's all over man. OVER! We're doomed. WE'RE SOOO DOOMED! OH GOD!!!

Barring anymore movement

Sharp-Toews-Kane
Stalberg-Kruger-Hossa
Frolik-Bolland-Bickell
Carcillo-Mayers-Shaw
(Bollig)

Keith-Seabrook
Hjalmarsson-Oduya
Leddy-Monty/Brookbank

Crawford
Emery

Wildcard = Saad if he makes team I imagine that drops Stalberg down in depth

Wish they would put Sharp back at C as Kruger doesn't belong at #2 C

Looks just good enough for another 1st round exit, imo.

That can be the opening day roster but the wildcard is a prospect coming through and playing a lot better than expected. You have young players like Shaw, Leddy, and Kruger really low on the depth chart. Not to mention the ones that aren't playing in the NHL yet. Besides Saad there's also Morin, Beach, and Olsen that have the chance to surprise with performance and earn roles on the team given their potent from players that aren't already in the NHL.

I love the idea, but I think Zajac will cost more than picks and/or prospects until they go into bankruptcy and a full rebuild. He's their 2nd best forward and they don't have much on the books so they can afford to extend him. As long as Lou is there, I don't see the Hawks, or anybody, landing Zajac without a really good forward in the deal.

Hoping to see that line again build off strong finish

But having Frolik on 4th line is idiotic as he just simply doesn't fit the role of a 4th liner

I also think a Carcillo-Mayers-Shaw 4th line has alot of potential as a distruber type line

Kruger at 2nd line C is low? Frankly him being on Hawks roster next year is too much of a role for him

As for Leddy ,, Would benefit more with less ES time and given Oduya being brought back I would rather see Hammer + Oduya then Q put together Leddy/Oduya again (Which is horrific to watch defensively)

Morin , Beach , Olsen if they impress could findthemselvs on NHL roster but really right now all 3 are blocked
