Krüger on the Roster is too much role for him but Frolik should play in the Top9

that's as good as BSU is a pathetic school

you know, there is a reason why both, Shaw & Krüger are higher on the depth chart than Frolik

Frolik can be a good player. Certainly better than Kruger in the playoffs.

Frolik(playoffs):
11 games, 4 goals, 4 assists, 8 points, +4

Kruger(playoffs):
11 games, 0 goals, 1 assist, 1 point, -2

Problem is, frolik apparently only shows up in the PO's. quite strange how much better he looks in the playoffs than regular season.

Frolik always showed up during the season. His effort level in every game he played was unquestionable.

He was just the most snakebitten player I've seen in a long, long time.

There wasnt much difference between Frolik and Kruger for me last year. Both play respectable defense, both are a black holes offensively. Difference is, I can see Kruger improving in both areas, I cant say the same for Frolik.

When he hitting somebody high with a stick two shifts out of the doghouse, I didn't think he was snakebitten, I thought he was more of a spazz. He had a few bad stick penalties.

All the heart, couldn't find the tools.

I agree, but having the heart is half the battle. He has to tools and I think he will find them and have a bounce-back season.

yeah, Krüger & Frolik didn't show much difference... but Krüger was a rookie in his first season in NA

Zajac isn't going anywhere unless he tells NJ he isn't re-signing, and based on the way Parise was handled, he'll reach UFA if that's the case.

I could see Pavelski being moved because of the many quality centers SJ already has. Would love to have a 2C who can win 58.7% of his faceoffs.

Pavelski would be a great move if we could get him.

I agree. I can't imagine Wilson letting him go to a WC contender though. I wonder what the price would be on Pavelski but I can't imagine it's anything reasonable for Chicago.

If Kruger turns into Filpulla,
If Saad turns into Benn
If Frolik turns into Versteeg
If Craw turns into Brodeur

We win the cup!

Sharp-Toews-Kane
(Versteeg)-(Benn)-Hossa
Shaw-Bolland-Bickell

Poor Filpulla doesn't even crack the lineup...

While Kruger was busy killing possessions next to Hossa and Sharp, Frolik was busy playing next to Bickell and Mayers. Frolik is a much better hockey player than Kruger.

Not really, Frolik has had his chances with Toews, Kane, Hossa and Sharp, and looked just as out of place as Kruger did.

yeah frolik definitely had a down year. but it was also kruger's first full year in the nhl, and he was placed in a role that he shouldn't have been. i'd much rather see kane or sharp as the 2C than kruger.

Care to explain when?

As for the Kane part the what last 2/3 games of 2010-11 ,,

Hardly what I would call chances

Nor playing an unnatural position with Hossa a chance

I dont recall Sharp/Frolik playing together

I recall him playing with Toews and Kane in 10-11, and he was moved away from them fairly quickly.

He has played in the top 6 before, I recall it clearly, just not sure when. He didn't look like he belonged either.

Is Hossa healthy? What do you guys think his output next year will be?

At this point, no, but he should be by the time the season starts.

If he plays an entire season, he should be at 70-80pts without a problem.

28G 47A is my guess.

Not healthy you say! Based on what, your own speculation?

If he still has concussion-like symptoms 4 months after the injury, there's no telling how long it will be before he's ready to resume playing hockey, if ever.

Do you have a source that says Hossa is not 100 percent symptom free?

I read a couple weeks ago that he hasnt been cleared for contact yet.

This article was posted on July 20th, which indicates hes not 100% yet

More than two months later, however, Hossa is back to himself and doing just fine with biking, lifting and other training habits.

And he’s hoping to be 100 percent come training camp.

“The way I feel right now I believe I’ll be ready for camp,” said Hossa, who added he isn’t feeling any concussion symptoms right now. “Everything could be different when I’m on the ice, if I get hit or if someone pushes me. But without contact, I’m doing everything on a high level.”

/\ Thank-you. Didn't read that.

Once the psychological barrier is over with and gone, he should be fine. Every person who has been severely injured or concussed can likely relate.... especially so, for athletes at the top level of their sport.

I'm not one of them (that is, that I'm aware of )
