But, I hope none of that happens, because if it does, we probably aren't looking like a good team.
Does anyone think we can win with Mike Kitchen and the worst PP coach (Kompon) in the NHL running the PP? I don't. Q had a chance to fire Kitchen and bring in a competent coach.. he failed and now, in all likelyhood, he's doomed himself to be fired and the team to an inconsistent and poor start.

With the players we have, you would think no matter what they do they should score. But I agree, I can't see those two running anything competent.Unless they are working on a grand master scheme behind the scenes, those ST's are bound to fail.

I like Q, but he has tied his own leash fairly tight.

It sure looks as though bowman gave him rope and q hung himself.

Not yet

Bowman has given him the rope and he has tied the noose

But he hasn't hung himself yet ,, We shall see what happens this coming season with Kitch/Kings bad assistant

exactly - we've been w/o the team for a few months - and there's a good chance we'll have an additional wait until they play - but things are as we left them.

the current situation is Q has put it on the record this is the first time he's been allowed to hire his own staff. he's got his own staff and if they don't produce they're all gone. bowman will last longer than q. if q ends up turfed, bowman (jr. or sr.) will hire the next staff and if they don't produce the bowman family will be gone.

Our roster seems to be shaping up a little more oddly than I thought...

Assuming a playing roster of Toews, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, Bolland, Bickell, Shaw, Stalberg, Kruger, Carcillo, Mayers and Saad... that leaves Frolik as the healthy scratch and Hayes/Bollig on the outs. Add in that we have 8 defensemen of playing caliber, it makes another one of those players scratched or gone.

I'm going with:

Sharp-Toews-Hossa
Saad-Kane-Stalberg
Bickell-Bolland-Shaw
Carcillo-Mayers-Kruger
*Frolik (as I don't think anyone would trade for him)

Hayes and Bollig to the AHL.

Keith-Seabs
Hjalmarsson-Leddy
Roszival-Oduya
*Brookbank

Montador traded?

Maybe:

Doan-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Pirri-Hossa
Stalberg-Bolland-Shaw
Carcillo-Mayers-Kruger
Bickell

Keith-Seabs
Leddy-Roszival/Montador
Oduya-Brookbank
Olsen

Crawford
Trade Hammer+ for Netminder

Doan's going to resign in Phoenix, isn't he? Also, the D looks pretty bad without Hammer on the 2nd pair.

Word seems to be that Doan only resigns if the ownership issue is resolved by the end of the week, which doesn't appear to be the case. Yep, Pairings are up in the air if we move Hammer, but I think if you can get either Rozsival OR Montador at their best (for now) one or the other would be capable. I wouldn't want to rely on either though, hoping things stay competitive.

I would tweak your lineup just a bit.

I would switch Saad and Sharp for several reasons - (1) Sharp would provide better defense that is needed more with Kane-Stalberg than it would be needed with Toews-Hossa, (2) Sharp can be a center/faceoff aternative to Kane if Kane is having a bad night at the dot, (3) speed - Sharp-Kane-Stalberg would be a very fast line, and (4) Sharp and Stalberg showed some chemistry together.

I would switch Kruger to 4C and let Mayers alternate with Frolik at wing. It may keep Mayers fresher for the end of the season.

Saad-Toews-Hossa
Sharp-Kane-Stalberg
Bickell-Bolland-Shaw
Carcillo-Kruger-Mayers/Frolik
