HFStars 2012 Top-20 Prospects

Alright, thank you once again to everyone who took the time to vote over the course of these polls. I think by now the quality of the system has probably sunk in for most of you. If anyone wants to go ahead and post their own personal lists, please do. If those rankings extend past #20 and go to 25 or even 30, all the better. Here are the final community results:

Mike has always made his own and that's what goes on the main site. These are just for fun.

i still wonder just how we compare to other systems. never getting to see these guys (or theirs) play makes for a lot of unknowns.

Don't go around asking. Even Philly and Flames' fans will tell you theyve got deep prospect pools.

Ya, me too. It's just hard to find stuff like rankings that are bias-free.

1 Campbell
2 Eakin
3 Chaisson
4 Faksa
5 Oleksiak
6 Glennie
7 Dillon
8 Fraser
9 R Smith
10 Nemeth

Also I'd definitely be game if we took it to 25 especially with this years crop I'd say it's probably similar talent to the later portions of last years top 20

Well. It's just about top-10 from what I've seen.

As a note, this might be the first top-20 where we have some significant differences. Which is a product of how deep this system is. As I usually state, it's not chock full of blue-chippers who come in and graduate and leave the pool barren. But it's a lot of quality players with average or better upsides. Nice job with your list(s), folks. I'm finishing the new top-20 article now and some updated player profiles as well.

Been 2 weeks, we're patiently waiting sir.

What else do you expect us to do in the dog days of summer till the AHL starts up?

Pretty sure the list is updated if you check our page, just not the rankings. I don't think it's his decision when it's released, but I could be wrong.

Yeah the content is staggered so there aren't a million new articles on the front page at once and then nothing for weeks. Who knows how the order the teams go in is determined.

Submitted a while ago (relatively speaking), it's in the queue somewhere...I don't publish my own work, submitted to editor(s) first. Sorry for the delay. Some profiles have been updated (as needed), it appears the new guys have been assigned a ranking. I put in a request to have Bachman graduated and out of the way.

Last two top-20's were the hardest ever for me...word is spreading that the Stars prospect depth is impressive on a league-wide scale...that might be happening naturally...the word that Dallas is better with late round picks in this decade than Detroit is sourced via yours truly - one who holds a grudge against the Red Wings , as a journalist, is completely unbiased and forthright...
