I don't think this will be close at all..

That said, I think Pysyk has #3 potential, maybe could even be a top-pairing guy.

Foligno is probably a good 2nd line guy, maybe 3rd line.

tough decision between Foligno and Pysyk.

we are starting to get a really good prospect pool, I could see 10 guys having NHL decent NHL careers.

Pysyk....by a HAIR. The thought of a puck moving dman who can also play his own zone extremely well, eat effective minutes in all situations, and be a leader is too intriguing at this point, despite the amazing taste Foligno left in our proverbial mouths. It's not a slam on Marcus, just that I think he levels off, and think Pysyk is a higher rated ceiling prospect at this time. Until he gives me a reason to doubt that.

Tough call between Pysyk and Foligno. I think Pysyk's ceiling is higher, but I went with Foligno because of NHL-readiness....Though Pysyk may not even be far behind him in that department.

Add Scheistel.

The problem is, when we talk PROSPECTS, how heavily should we weigh NHL readiness? So subjective. I don't like to factor that into play too much....try to look longer term, no?

The fact that Pysyk is our 5 or 6 rated prospect makes me ****ing cheese. Potential hidden gems in Cat, Sundher, etc? Praying we can dream sixteen

I just think Pysyk has a higher ceiling than Foligno.

Pysyk. Higher ceiling, and he will be NHL-ready pretty shortly.

The guy was the playoff MVP in the WHL...that has to count for something.

Add Knapp.

I know, right? It's been a while since the Sabres pool has seemed this full with talent that actually has NHL potential. We've got some bona fide star potential players at the top, and are talking serviceable NHL talent through wherever guys like Catenacci/Kea end up.

Foligno slightly, and the gap has closed for me a bit just reading some of the arguments in Pysyk's favor (and I'm plenty high on Pysyk). To be honest, it doesn't really matter who gets 5 and 6 in this ranking. I think it's somewhat relevant that Foligno had a pretty late birthday for his draft class so that makes me think there's still more development in him in terms of what his ceiling is going to be.

Add Varone.

Foligno by a hair, add Schiestel.

Schiestel could be very interesting if his knee is completely healed and he stays healthy.
