I've been on a movie tear these last few days with my friends Netflix account. Watching Take Me Home Tonight right now. This blonde girl is really hot.

Raid: Redemption was an absolute awesome movie. Great choreographed fight scenes. Plenty of blood.

I watched that last weekend. I agree to the furthest extent possible.

And my night just took a damper. I was playing my GM Madden game, simmed a few games, played a handful, took the Colts to the AFC championships, did the full off season, draft, and was in the pre-season and my xbox froze. Lost all my progress of today, I'm all the way back to the second game of the regular season.

I picked up some great WRs in free agency, including demaryius thomas, completely re-hauled my abysmal offensive line raising the average overall between the five of them from ~77 to ~83, and bolstered my overall depth at most positions. I had a really great draft as well, taking some really good players.

I guess I can learn from it, but ****. It's silly a game like this doesn't have auto-save.

Wow. Thought that'd have auto save. That sucks. I was thinking about getting Madden, but no Franchise Mode? Really?

Mine froze too but not even close to your scenario. Sorry man.

I'm the Houston Texans and I beat the **** out of the Packers. I go to scout players after the game is over and it freezes during me scouting a player. And you're right, it's lame there is no auto-save because we'd both be okay then.

So instead of saving after every week is completed like I've been doing, I'm going to after every game.

FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS!

It's actually a pretty solid game. The trade logic this year (while more realistic) is crazy because even if I'm overpaying for a young roster player on a team (who isn't one of their superstars), they refuse to make the trade.

Seriously, I have no idea how these movies are unknown. The guy is a superstar in his own country, and one of the most talented and marketable martial artists since Bruce Lee.

Yeah, no franchise mode but it seems the masses are more pissed about no fantasy draft.

The new career mode is not half bad. You can do practically everything you could before but it cut out a lot of the trivial ******** that they started implementing, the last few years.

But you start by either focusing your career on one player (so a current roster player or create your own).

The other option is a coach. That's what I did.

Not sure what franchise mode is. But I'm having a ton of fun in offline connected careers, basically Be-a-GM from NHL 09-NHL 12. Free agency, draft, playing, developing, all that good stuff.

Yeah I'll probably do that. Start saving after every game.

I haven't really tried any trades. Just accepted one today though. I signed a good(85 overall) SS, which made my 81 overall SS expendable. I was offered like 10 trades for the 82. I ended up taking a 2nd round pick for him. Seemed like a decent return.

One thing i don't like about this game is how inflated all of the player values seem. There are so many high 80s low 90s guys.

But you can only play as one player or a coach, I thought. Like Utterly Disgusting previously said.

Versus what, exactly? Not trying to be a dick or whatever, I'm curious.

Also, I just started the second episode of the second season in True Blood. I breezed through the first season so freaking fast. I really, really enjoy this show.

As a coach, it's traditional Madden play now style gameplay. You call the plays, play as the quarterback to the WR/RB/TE, whatever. Defense is the same.

It just also includes the off-season stuff.

Yeah, it's essentially the same as franchise mode (when you pick coach, you still get to play as the players same as usual - you aren't just the coach). The difference is you try to evolve as a coach or as a player. I can't explain the nuances of the player career mode because I didn't select that option.

I should've probably explain in more detail, the changes made but there is a lot to it.

I've got a 7:15 a.m. MRI appointment for my MRI tomorrow morning. Considering I've been going to bed around 5 a.m. the last couple weeks, I see no reason to go to bed early and try (and most likely fail) to fall asleep by 1. Instead, I'll just stay up all night and go to sleep when I get home from my MRI.

Well, my girlfriend, whom i have not seen in over a month, just showed up at my house. She's been secretly plotting with my mom over the past week to show up and surprise me.

Best late-birthday surprise ever.

My madden-crap filled night has turned amazing. Hope everyone has a great weekend! I know i will!

And OT 21: Something about alcohol consumption age in the U.S.

That's insane. I woke up a little before 5 to get to work on time this summer.

But now school's gonna start and make me look like a bum again.
