Done so they can play in AHL during the lockout. Team also sent Hubs back to Juniors, too young to play in AHL, for that purpose.

This is to make room for the lockout, right?

Yes, this is the unofficial official start of the lockout. Tallon is sending all of his players on two-way contracts to San Antonio to play and those under the age of 20 who have signed Pro Contracts back to their Junior teams. An agreement has been reached that if and when the Lockout ends players under contract can be recalled from Juniors to Training Camp as will some players in San Antonio.

GP- can players still get claimed like normal? I would think Wellman could be a problem... the others should clear without much of a second look.

db: I believe there is likely a "handshake agreement" with the owners not to do that given that teams are likely to send some of their NHL-level players and prospects to the A as this drags out (remember Weiss and Bouw playing in S.A. last time?).

i hope everyone holds to that supposed handshake agreement. i believe tallon probably had the same thing when he sent grabner down and the isles claimed him.

They would have cleared by 12 noon today, so I guess no one got picked up. I haven't checked around yet though.
I thought James Wright might get some attention.

Send a message via Yahoo to Jessica
I find it kind of funny that, the pervious lockout and the impending one that is about to happen, is when we are affiliated with Florida.
