QBs: Andrew Luck, Sam Bradford
WRs: Victor Cruz, Marques Colston, Antonio Brown, Kenny Britt, Dexter McCluster
RBs: Arian Foster, Adrian Peterson, Michael Bush, Jacquizz Rodgers
TEs: Owen Daniels, Greg Olsen
Def: NY Jets
Two waiver claims: dropping McCluster for Hilton and Bradford for Dalton.
I have a pretty decent team: 2-1 w/ 2nd most points for and against. I don't have much depth and QB really is an issue. Was thinking of dangling Colston for someone, but I don't know that I can get anyone that's much of an upgrade for him. Roethlisberger and Eli/Flacco seem to be the most viable options. But I'd probably have to put together a bigger package.
Is the difference between Luck/Dalton and someone like Roethlisberger worth giving up someone off my team?
Here's my team:
QB: Cam Newton (Car), Ryan Fitzpatrick (Buf)
WR: Dez Bryant (Dal), Pierre Garcon (Wsh), Andrew Hawkins (Cin), Leonard Hankerson (Wsh)
RB: Andre Brown (NYG), Ryan Mathews (SD), Michael Bush (Chi)
TE: Antonio Gates (SD), Dustin Keller (NYJ), Heath Miller (Pit)
K: David Akers (SF)
Our league is Q, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/T, 4 bench.
I'd like to drop one of my receivers and go after either Barden or Kerley this week. I'm also strongly considering ditching the Detroit defense as its been total garbage this year compared to several others on the waiver wire.
So, which of my receivers do you think I should drop if I put in a waiver claim, and which of those two should I try to get?
Also, considering Cam Newton has been inconsistent this season, I'm considering benching him this week in favor of Fitzpatrick, who turns in a reliable score every week. Granted its lower than a potential good game from Newton, but Fitz's scores have been higher in weeks 1 and 3. Those points would have allowed me to win this week. I lost by 2.76 points and Fitz turned in 6 more points than Newton. Is this a good idea or not? I'm just losing faith in Newton quite rapidly.
Any other suggestions would be welcome as well. This is a 16 team league tho so the pickings are very slim.
So, my team is looking pretty desperate. I made a few changes from the roster posted earlier but it is still not looking good.
Anyways, I picked up Leshoure before the Week 3 and he played very well. Is he worth starting next week against the Vikings? Is Marques Colston an upgrade at who I have at WR?
QB Aaron Rodgers GB
RB Ahmad Bradshaw NYG
RB Mikel Leshoure DET
RB/WR Steve Johnson BUF
WR Santonio Holmes NYJ
WR Dez Bryant DAL
TE Jimmy Graham NO
K Matt Bryant ATL
Peyton Manning DEN
Beanie Wells ARI
Mark Ingram NO
Sidney Rice SEA
James Jones GB
Brent Celek PHI
I had a glut of good TE's so I dealt Kyle Rudolph to a TE-needy owner for Steve Smith. Gives me the WR2 I needed and pushes all my receivers down one rung. I didn't give up anything to the point where I can use my depth to go get a big fish later in the year.
What my team looks like now:
QB: Cam Newton, Alex Smith
RB: Ray Rice, Doug Martin, Fred Jackson, Donald Brown, Rashard Mendenhall
WR: Percy Harvin, Steve Smith, Kenny Britt, Santonio Holmes, Brandon Lafell, Darrius Heyward-Bey
TE: Dennis Pitta, Aaron Hernandez
I am worried about Cam though. He's been up and down so far and his next 4 games are really tough matchups: @ATL, SEA, DAL, @CHI. If he can get through those 4 games with good numbers, I think my team is in for good things.
Wich defense would you pickup off waivers this week since the Steelers are on their bye week...
Atlanta (Vs Carolina)
Detroit (Vs Minnesota)
I just dumped Detroit to pick up Atlanta off the waiver wire this week. They gave up 44 against Tennessee? Screw that. The Lions D is dog meat and I should have dumped them before last week. I literally would have won my game if I had had pretty much any other defense.
