Not sure anyone will remember when we were discussing what Scottish international would sign next just after Miller did (I think). I made a disparaging comment about one of the possible players who's on a free:

He's been banned from every nightclub (and possibly bar) in his hometown of Edinburgh because he's just that nuts. A few months back he was in town after playing for St Johnstone against one of the Edinburgh clubs. That night he was arrested for punching a female bouncer because she recognised him/saw him trying to sneak in. Odious little wretch, but he's available, Scottish, and ex-international. He's also played in China to make the big bucks so he wouldn't be adverse to MLS.
He's probably signing for my Scottish team, Ross County. There was a rumour he was in talks with County but he was supposedly at the game today so it's looking pretty likely he will sign. Especially since we won today after controlling possession for most of the game and are currently undefeated in the league.

I would be depressed because Riordan could be a Bertuzzi in the room, but Derek Adams has taken a lot of players who have something to prove and turned them around as players. It's what he specialises in and we're missing a free role forward in the team after we lost Gardyne on a Bosman to Dundee United. This is the most ambitious project player Adams will have taken on.

I'm worried.

Montreal about 20 minutes away from their fifth straight win. It would move them into a playoff spot, although they've played 3-6 more matches than all the teams around them.

How the hell are the Limpact always scoring goals and we seem to struggle all the time?

Having 9 penalties helps. But, yeah, they've scored more goals already than we did all of last year (not that that's saying much).

A question any lower status team seems to face pretty consistently. Is it worth the morale risk to potentially punch above your weight with a reclamation signing or not? I'd be interested to see some qualitative research on it. Here's hoping it works out for Ross County.

Getting pumped for this game, I'm super happy that I can see it while I'm in Washington cause Root Sports is showing it. We really could use three points here and I think this is a great chance to get a favourable road result. Hoping for an offensive explosion tonight. GO Caps

7:30pst on SPAC. I ran into the same problem. I'm just hoping that doesn't mean the timing on my PVR of the Southampton game on SOne is screwed up later.

My menu says 7 pm on SN1 but it's UEFA. But yeah you're right - it's there too.

This team is falling apart at the seams. Now I know how Minnesota Wild fans felt from mid-December on.

Rennie really seems to have moved the heart from this team. There's not exactly a ton of time left for them to gel.

Clinical from Miller. He just needs to be in position to take those.

Looks like I'm officially a Whitecaps fanatic! When Miller just scored to tie it 1-1 I surprised myself with how loudly I shouted.

I know I'm about 1 1/2 years late for this, but I'm so happy to see pro soccer in BC!

Does Robson look slow to anyone else? He looks to me like he's always a step behind the play. I'm definitely not an expert, just really got into the Whitecaps this year but I guess I expected more from him.
