We don't know that his Cadillac made it back to Staten Island safely though. Definitely a top 3 moment at Red Bull Arena for me though.
That's what he gets for living in Staten Island. Really curious how far he was able to go on that tire though. I just don't know how exactly one finds this out (without bugging Rob to go bug someone with the team)
If they are dominated in the air like they were today, they will.
Doesn't help when 4 of your top 5 center backs are out and you have a midfielder (Carrick) trying to replace Rio Ferdinand/Jonny Evans.
The finishing wasn't the issue so much as the lack of clever movement up front, and a very average midfield. Scholes didn't offer much in any facet of the game. Valencia rarely got forward and Nani had no precision on the ball today, which is unusual for him. Rooney and Kagawa were disappointing as neither of them really looked dangerous, and both were too content to just play the ball around on the perimeter rather than going for a cutting edge ball. Wellbeck was a non-factor and I'm still not sold on him in general... His movement isn't very intelligent so in cluttered games like this, he tends to disappear.
RVP didn't do much, but I can't expect him to jump right in with a sub appearance and contribute when the rest of the team has no flow.
Overall, I'm not too concerned. Everton away was always a tough first match and there are still 37 games left for City/Chelsea to slip up.
