Javi will stay because he sells shirts. ONLY reason he'll stay. He's dumb as all hell with the ball. Just fast and mexican. Millions rolling in from the americas as a result of him being on the team.

Berba was supposed to go, probably will. Needs to be playing. too good not to

Welbeck will still be there ofc because he was utd's best striker at the beginning of last season. Loads of talent

Rooney should drop back to AM tho I doubt he will.

Roll a s11 like this

Welbeck RVP
Young Rooney Cleverley Valencia
Evra Vidic Jones Rafael
De Gea

Subs:
Javi Nani Smalling Carrick Kagawa Macheda Powell

Sell: Anderson Fletcher Bebe Evans Berba

If Rooney doesn't drop to AM, Welbeck moves to sub and nani in for CM spot

Looks good, just replace Macheda's spot on the Bench with Rio

I just don't see Rio being around much + Macheda has to either play or be sold

I think it'll be your sort of 4-2-3-1 with Rooney behind RVP, Nani and Young at the wings, Cleverley and Carrick in the middle.

I suppose they could play Rooney at AM but they have generally done better with him closer to goal. Maybe with a true target forward now that would change.

I would definitely try and put Kagawa in the starting 11, he has looked phenomenal soo far, even though it is preseason

Something like a 41212

Rooney--------RVP
Kagawa
Nani Valencia
Carrick
Evra Vidic Jones Rafael

Looks good but I thought 4-1-2-1-2s were rare in the EPL, sort of a lack of flexibility and total football in a league that loves 4-3-3's and 4-5-1s with a withdrawn striker.

Worth a look, though i'm sure. I was never certain how Manchester City would fit all their attacking players on the field at once but they managed.

Depth cant be bad. Injuries happen. I do think Rooney may see some CM/CAM roles

it's where he's best. He scores more upfront, but plays worse football. Plays better at CAM but scores+sets up far fewer goals. it's weird. with RVP there he can safely drop back. shouldnt be an issue finishing.

Post from a Notts County fan from England who also follows NYRB:

Lloyd played for my local team (Notts County) at the end of last season and the fans loved him. He was a star player for Notts and scored 5 goals. County were desperate to sign him but I believe he priced himself out of a deal.
He has played in the EPL and will be an excellent signing IMO. Will prove to be an upgrade on Dane at RM and I think he will be a starter when fit.

Awesome.

As we speak, Bill Gaudette, playing for Puerto Rico, is facing Spain's first team. Have mercy

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
What a sickening betrayal of Wenger too - the man who stood so loyally behind @Persie_Official through years of injury. #VanPursestrings

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Funny, I really thought @Persie_Official was different. But he turned out to be just another mercenary, heartless, selfish little s**t.

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Well done, Ivan Gazidis, a great bit of 'business' - selling #Arsenal 's top player to our bitter rivals. Shame on you & the whole board.

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Congratulatons @SamNasri19 - you're no longer the most loathsome ex Arsenal player in Britain.

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Good news, Cashley @TheRealAC3 - we've finally found someone even more money-grabbing than you. @Persie_Official

Piers Morgan ‏@piersmorgan
Careful, Shrek @WayneRooney - you've got a treacherous new Donkey arriving.

Oh man.

Love it Piers. Let the ******** flow through you.

I couldn`t be happier, big RvP fan here. I just hope he can stay healthy. As for the lineup, agreed with GM17, but we`ll see.

Blah, **** everything about that. Shows how little loyalty means in football when the big money gets dangled.

I'm glad they sold Fabregas to Barcelona, seeing him stay in the EPL would have hurt. This one really sucks, selling our best striker to our biggest rival. Pure insanity, this is like sending Kovy to the Rangers.

And I'm not surprised Piers Morgan is that pissed, I am too. But I disagree with him, Ca$h£ey Co£e is still more loathsome.

I have to say, getting RVP is nice but I do feel bad for people who are both Devils and Arsenal fans.

For me, this doesn't counter Parise's dash-for-cash, but it does feel good to be on the other end of the reeming.

Now, I just hope he can stay healthy and mesh well with Shrek.

Not quite, because with RVP there's a good chance that his new team actually wins something of relevance.

Also, those Chelsea black/yellow kits are gross. They look like the keeper jerseys they sell to 15 year olds in Eurosport.

Piers Morgan's a rat. Dunno how he got so popular in the USA. He got sued by the man who wrote "let it be". bummer
