Still on the Song of Ice and Fire (ie. Game of Thrones) re-read. Couple hundred pages left. S'good stuff man though I usually don't like my literature to be so blue in places. I don't understand how people can say nothing happens in the two most recent books. Things are finally coming to a head it seems. Plenty of cloak & dagger stuff which is certainly enough to hold my interest. And the characters...wow!

I'll keep that in mind. As far as I'm concerned, though, good literature almost exclusively involves characters that you occasionally hate. I've yet to find a good book where a character was likeable from start to finish.

...and that would be the series I'm currently stuck on. I'm at the very beginning of book two and, I don't know, it just doesn't seem to flow as well as book one to me.

A song of ice and fire is an excellent series. I finished book 5 a few months ago and was not disappointed. Things really get good in that series so don't give up on it.

Definitely don't plan on giving up. It's fantastically written and the characters are so richly detailed. I find it slightly off-putting that the viewpoint changes every chapter, though. I start getting engrossed in Robb's story, and BAM, it switches to Daenerys. I get frustrated but start reading it and, when I finally start getting into her story, BAM, switch to Bran. It's frustrating.

A Storm of Swords got spoiled for me, so I've never been able to finish out the series.

It does, but at the same time the constant cliffhangers kill your nerves.

Every single time. I've had something relatively big spoiled for me, too, but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying it.

He's two pages in and only one off from the old guy. I like his chances.

He's got this one. We might as well stop posting, cause it doesn't even matter anymore.

Oh my. You must stick with it. I thought book two was great. Tyrion really shines in that one among other interesting happenings.

That right there is enough to make me pick it back up tonight. Tyrion will never be anything but fantastic. And clever as hell.

It was a pretty significant event in the book. Stopped me in my tracks.

Whelp, it certainly wasn't a one-worder. Exceedingly well played.

Both of you write in spoiler tags what was spoiled for you. Then I can read them, and tell you if they're the same.
