You have to be on an ELC or have played under a certain amount of games to play in the AHL right?

I loved seeing Bergeron in providence in 04-05 and would love to see Seguin/Hamilton this year.

It seriously sucks Hamilton won't get a year down there to toughen up and go through his growing pains.

Seguin is better suited to playing in Europe. I think Neely and Chiarelli would agree.

Caron/Spooner/Knight it will benefit.

I agree, I'd much rather see Seguin in Europe. More competition, more of the better players in the NHL would go there as well.

If their is a lockout the AHL will be loaded with young players much like it was in 04-05 and will be much better for Seguin and Hamilton because they'll still be in the system the B's want them to learn. Also, I think, because they would stay in the system management ie:Neely,Sweeney etc can still have contact with them. Playing in Europe during the lockout made a lot of players lazy and the younger guys who stayed in the AHL were far ahead of the curve when the regular season started back up.

If there is another lockout I am going to punch all of the league higher ups in both the NHL and the NHLPA right in the nads.

Playing in Europe is just about the worst thing I can imagine for him.

Not sure if it`s the worst thing but I agree , no way do I see Chia allowing him to go there while he can play under the watchful eye of Bruin brass in Providence. Can`t remember 100% but pretty sure the B`s sent Bergy to play in the AHL during the last work stoppage????

I suspect it`ll be the case here too with Segs if/when there is a stoppage

A Caron - Spooner - Knight line would be fun to watch this year lockout or not. Seems like one of Caron or knight will be on the third line though (pending FA signing)
