Hey , Im happy to be part of this GM ! btw do you guys have a trade block thread / roster? and could you link me I have no clue where to find them hah
And My roster hasn't been messed with right ?
Once the game comes out, we don't really need a roster thread because you can just look on the game, plus it saves us from having a billion threads for this league. I'm pretty sure there is a trade block menu in the GM Connected as well, so I think we're fine. And no, your roster hasn't been altered in any way.
It's probably smart to hold off on trades until the game is actually released, sometimes the roster won't look exactly what is expected and they usually come out with a roster update right when the game comes out.

Very good point, so like I said, I can't stop you, but don't go nuts.

Yeah, I agree.
And from now until the game comes out, a signing could occur (there are still a few good free agents) which could affect what your team needs.
It kind of sucks for me.
I kind of hope he doesn't get traded because I could get more for him (or trade Schneider instead) than what the Canucks will get in return in real life.

Yeah, in all honesty, a video game creates an interesting dynamic, because really the bottom line is the rating, and Luongo is rated substantially higher than Schneider is within the game, so it's a tough decision you'd have to make.

Not really if you are playing enough games.
Not sure what it is about goalies in NHL games. I have better luck with odd goalies than top rated goalies normally.

Apparently they've made some adjustment in the rating schemata to make players play more like they are rated. That's one of the new features this year. I agree with you sometimes I'd find my team playing better in front of a 75 rated goalie than a 85 rated goalie. I am curious to see how the new setup works.

Interesting...
I still have questions about the GM Connected.
Is there an AHL team? I assume these is but that you don't play those games?
Interested in how the system for draft ordering goes too.
Mr. Wiggum said that we can make trades right now. But what if (for example) I trade Luongo for Sidney Crosby, and then in real life (still before the game comes out) Luongo gets traded for a 7th round pick to a different team.
When the roster update is released (on Sept. 11th), Luongo will be on the team that traded a 7th rounder for him.
So will that team have to trade him back to me so I can trade Luongo for Crosby?
Now that's a dilemma. I say the trade gets declined and the player goes to the team he's traded for in real life. Maybe something compensary?
I'm willing to listen to offers for Brendan Morrow, Stephane Robidas, Trevor Daley and Mark Fistric. I am looking for a drastic upgrade on defenseman.

That's what I don't want to happen, hence I'm saying don't go crazy with trades or trade anyone that is currently OTB by their respective teams (Luongo, Doan, Ryan etc.)

Chicago is looking to upgrade goaltending as well as 2nd line center, but not willing to gut the team to fix either position.
"I want your good players for scraps."
Anywho, I already got a decent offer for Schneider.
I'm taking offers on both Luongo and Schneider (fingers crossed that Luongo doesn't get traded before the game comes out ).
Looking for a top 6 winger, 3rd line center, upgrade on Ballard, and/or a backup goalie.
