Yea he get it easy in his little castle in Quebec and thinks everything works like that. Hell he said hockey doesn't need gritty players anymore well sure he doesn't need to when you're in junior. Roy had character teams until the incident with his son, then change the philosophy of his team, making them more soft and they win anyway and he thinks it doesn't matter. I think it just shows how the level in junior his low. He also has the wealthiest team in the league can get all the players he wants. In the NHL it's a dog-eat-dog World and you need all the weapons and intimidation you need if it's just to have 2 more points during a season. And it shows how soft the Q is.

Here's what I remember if you don't want to watch it (6 mins in both Languages)
  • Says that the Habs weren't a phsyically hard team to play against. Have some guys with Character & fighting abilities, but hopes that he can come in, drop the mits if needed so, spark the team & make them respected. He said that in NY everyone feeded of each other, and he hopes that he can make everyone feed of the energy he "unleashes", creating a snowball effect
  • Said going from 1st in the east to 15th in the east was a challenge. But he wanted to be part of a work in progress, be part of the puzzle.
  • Therrien & Mellanby showed up @ his house on July 1st, they went in the back yard & talked for a few minutes to try & convince Brandon
He never really hesitated & his GF didn't push him whatsoever.
  • Expects, Thrives & is waiting for the pressure, said its maybe something he needs, and aknowledges that MTL is the best place to play.. When winning

This Pic was taken during the show itself (Not the commercial )

Good interview.

My French is bad, but does it seem to add to what he (Prust) says ?

I really liked the interview. I like the fact that Therrien and Mellanby physically went to his house to convince him. And as many of us have been saying for years, Prust confirmed that visitors didn't fear the Habs' physicality.

Yeah but we don't need physical players in Montreal. Here they come, i can hear the footsteps.

Nobody ever said that, the argument was over whether we need goons or not. And Prust might be an overpaid grinder, but he's not a goon.

Seriously, these strawman arguments are why this forum can be so unbearable.

I liked the interview of Prust. This guy's gonna be awesome for us. A fan-favorite, that's for sure.

Prust is definitely the kind of guy you want around, I'm just concerned his assets will be wasted on such a mediocre team, since guys like that don't have the longest primes.

I don't know what you've been reading, but there have been plenty of that. Also, there are many who think that dropping the gloves has no effect on the game, and that they'd rather have skilled guys than that type of player. Search for the countless toughness threads and you'll see those comments.
