What are we gonna do for the rest of 2012?

No Hawks probably, Derrick Rose not returning until late/if not early 2013, Cubs being the Cubs, and the Bears still having Cutler.

I mean, as loyal fans as we are, this gonna be a pretty bad time. I'm crying here. But I'll make it up by watching the WNBA, Football and Cricket......yes it's come to that, CRICKET!

PLZ NO LOCKOUT

Luckily for me i'm learning how to play hockey so for the rest of 2012 i'll be;

-Doing skills and drills classes/going to public skates
-Playing LOTS of GM Connected
-Going to school and doing homework
-Working

I'll be taking care of my first kid (will be born Aug 27th)
Playing hockey every Friday night
and sulking all the other time because NHL hockey usually takes up 90% of my winter

Bears having Cutler is something we should be happy with...

watch even more Soccer than now, play more PS3, watch more NFL and watch more euro hockey

Not sure what the Cutler comment is even supposed to mean, but I sure am excited to watch him play. Best QB Bears have had in my lifetime.

Rooting for the better baseball team could solve 1 issue.

And the Bears are going to the have best offense they've had since Sid Luckman, don't see how that's a problem.

I've also got Arsenal and IU Basketball to occupy some time. Think there will be hockey by New Year's though. Too much money on both ends to be lost if the Winter Classic is missed. This is a minor negotiation compared to the last one that completely overhauled the system and took a year away.

The Cubs may not win as much, but they're still better. :p

Assuming that the NHL does lock out, I'll just focus even more on the NFL and try to go to as many AHL (Wolves, IceHogs, and Riverman), USHL, ACHA, and maybe even NCAA games as possible.

Yeah, I don't think I've been to a Wolves game since high school, so now might be the time.

i wish the wolves were the affiliate for the hawks. it's hard to care when they're all canucks prospects.

i havn't been to a wolves game in a long time either, but there's always so many screaming little kids. the quality of hockey is pretty good though.

Work out, focus on my writing, generally just self improve. I got a lot done last lockout, so I'm not scared of it. Whatever happens, happens. I know the NHL will be back and I will too.

Man I loved that show when I was younger ,,

I beleive that in end this lockout wont reach the new year.. I am hopeful at somepoint in NOvemember it gets settled

Remember the NBA lockout looked just as ugly at start but quietly got resolved

Hopefully watching White Sox playoff run and Bears season will hold me over until the start of NHL season

Yeah, in the end it's still hockey. I could watch 2 high school teams battle it out, so it's not hard for me to get into 2 teams from probably the 3rd best league in the world, whether I have a rooting interest or not.

Personally, I'd much rather make the drive to Rockford than buy tickets to the Wolves game(unless they are playing the Hogs).

This year I want to also go to a couple Chicago Steel games. Would be cool to see them play the USA U18 team with future draftees on it. Wish I could've saw Jon Gilles at Indiana Ice or Zemgus Girgensons at Dubuque this year though.

I already watch a ton of college games on TV but then I'd be able to watch them sooner I guess instead of on my DVR for sometimes even a week. With my package I get some WHL games as well.

Congratulations! This is very exciting news.

I'll just watch more OHL hockey and watch the last two seasons of 24/7 over and over.

My biggest beef is the $8 beers at Wolves games. The best part of minor league sports is supposed to be the cheap beer.

Yikes, never noticed that. Guess it's a good thing that I don't drink very often at sporting events.

tbh, I was kidding about the Bears, Cutler takes a lot of stick, so I'd just throw it in there to add to the gloom for dramatic purposes. Bears should be fun viewing really. He's clearly no Rex 'Peyton robbed his Superbowl MVP' Grossman.

Not sure if they're $8 exactly, but anything more then $5 for 16oz of Miller at a minor league sporting event is highway robbery.

1. Enjoying another White Sox WS Championship..

2. Watching ALEX BROADHURST with the LONDON KNIGHTS on OHL ACTION PAK ..

3. Another great season of NCAA football (I like college ball more than the NFL)..

4.New t.v. season --hope there are some good shows to watch.. When all else fails there is always the COOKING CHANNEL.

5. Resumption of more fall heavier reds from my wine cellar --after a summer of lighter whites and beers in this long hotter than usual summer...

6. More reading time-lots of novels I bought that i have not yet had time to read.

7.IF I was younger I'd probably hit the p-stache -but alas my stamina is not as it once was ...

8. Maybe I'll but that Rosetta Stone program and learn Italian or brush up on my Hebrew.

9. Finally learn all the programs on my smartphone that I'm not using.

10. Write angry e-mails to Bettman and Fehr to hurry up and make a deal.

I'll be going to the Rockford IceHogs games and not checking my phone every half hour to check the Blackhawk score. Maybe even enjoy watching Shaw, Bollig and Hayes back in their Hogs jerseys.
