Not only is Sheppard fully healthy, he's been huge in Worcester. Seven points in the last seven games; second in scoring.
He's got the talent, and we have the spots in the bottom six. I think he'll be a SJS for at least part of the new season.
Good to hear. I was really hoping that we didn't waist that 3rd round pick on him, and we definitely could use some help in the bottom six with scoring.
DW's recent comments make me think we'll see a trade early in the season. "A lot is dictated by where your own guys are at and we can't know that until we see them and test them", I think we'll see him make a decision on trading one of the Demers, Braun, or Murray sooner rather than later. There are a few teams out there in desperate need of D and with a glut of wingers.

Seems like there are a couple of rumors that one of our young goalies are on the block, we are 90% sure its Ben Bishop, seeing how you guys have some extra D and we need some NHL D right now, what do you guys see as a return for Bishop? Seeing how our GM is big on local guys Demers would be his target.

We have too many goalie prospects as it is. No room for Bishop here. If you wanted to part with a young winger though....
I doubt Doug makes any move outside of the Org until the trade deadline.
Hopefully a kid from the AHL really steps up, The lineup doesn't look horrible but the bottom 6 is a little suspect and the thought of having 3/6 Dmen out to start the year isnt a happy one. IMO in a shortened season like this the worse thing to do would be to stumble out of the gate.
Is any one worried that it has been about 8 or 9 months now since burns had his surgery and he hasn't been skating yet?
I filed this one under 'try not to think about it until it becomes an actual problem'. I'm hoping this minimizes the amount of energy I spend worrying about it.
god I thought Handzus was gone already...why...just why...
Because unless the Sharks need the cap-space for some blockbuster trade, trading Handzus is pointless. Right now, they have plenty of cap space and he only has 1-year left on his contract. At worst, he's a 13th forward and by not trading him, DW maintains a better reputation of being a players' GM (doesn't have to force Handzus to waive his NMC).

Personally, I want Handzus gone just so that McLellan doesn't even have the option of playing him.
