They obviously signed him to replace Suter.

Awesome!! Congrats to Hannan, and best of luck!! I have lots of respect for the way he plays the game. He will do well in Nashville.

He is a great guy just wasn't a top 4 defenseman anymore glad to see him get a contract.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought Hannan was the next Ryan Suter.

Good signing for the Preds. I think they're going to like his simple game a lot. I really liked Hannan last year and while he had no impact offensively, I liked his defensive game a lot.

Good signing for the Preds, just as long Hannan is not forced into the top 4.

Good for Hannan, if there is a season to be played, I hope he does well in Nashville. He was one of the few bright spots we had on the team last season.

Good to see the nice words about Hannan.

Our blue line desperately needed some more veteran presence. Looks like he is a straight up defensive d man? Let me guess...Stengths: Defense Weaknesses: Offense?

You got it, the guy is as gritty as they come. A little slow footed but not enough to be a liability, keep him on the 2nd or 3rd pairing and youll be happy with him I think.

At this point Wideman is an adequate and solid dman. He doesn't really excel at anything but he's not a pushover either. He does what he's asked do as long as the expectations are realistic. His biggest assets at this point are leadership and his vet presence. His biggest weakness is his skating.

Basically he is as gritty as they come and always plays with heart altho his skating has started to decline he is very god #5/#6 guy.
