What do you all think would be accurate ratings? Without being homers.

I mean I have no big problems with the Avs rating except that Olver obviously lower to 74, Rob 2 higher to 78 and Varly to 83 and Jiggy to 77, Jones to 80 and Kobasew down to 74.
That's -9 for Olver, +2, +2, +1, +2 for the four and -4 for Koby.
You could perhaps tweak here and there something else as well, maybe put Downie down to 80 and PAP down to 80 as well or something like that.

For Avs Rankings I think that would be fairly accurate.
I actually think the Avs are done quite well except for Olver and the Goalies (which IMO are undervalued but maybe I'm just overrating them?)

For the others I obviously can't say very much, but Vancouver is really messed up with Hamhuis+Edler+Kesler at 88, Luongo at 89 and Schneider at 83.
Also Vokoun/Fleury having 87,87 and Miller at 92 are ridiculous according to the last 2 years from them all. (though Staz is a bit high then as well, maybe 84 for Staz?) Also Gagne is apparently as good as Kopitar?

Olver - 75
McGinn - 79
Jones - 80
O'Brien - 80
Wilson - 80
Varly - 83

Overall, I think it's pretty accurate in comparison to the rest to the league. Just a lot of player numbers are off.

I think those are accurate.

Wonder if they atleast gave some of our young players a higher "potential" rating.

Lol at that Kreator fellow on the Oilers board being whiny because the Avs have higher rated players.

Yeah, the potentials of Avs prospects are terrible. Barrie, Sgarbossa, Elliott to name a few are ****ing useless.

To be fair, all players/prospects for the Avalanche are busts.

Actually majority of the players got smurfed in ratings. If you have ever played FIFA 12 only 3-4 players are rated higher then 90s. And think about how many more pro soccer players there are compared to hockey.

I'm very sure that a lot of those players potentials are really good. Only one I dislike is McGinns.

Olver isn't just trolling in real life anymore, he is now trolling all the NHL 13 lovers out there.

Thank you for helping me understand why everyone was talking about an 83 rating... Haha, but that's weird.

I have firefox and i can tell you it used to say 83! Then the picture got changed to say 73. This must mean the screenshots are not actually from gameplay but made up

Overall the ratings don't look too bad. It's hard to say without seeing the rest of the teams to make comparisons. However, if Stastny, Johnson, and Duchene are 85 than I think the ratings should be:

Stastny: 85
Duchene: 85
O'Reilly: 83 (+1)
Landeskog: 82
Parenteau: 81 (-1)
Jones: 80 (+2)
Downie: 80 (-1)
McGinn: 78
Hejduk: 78
Kobasew: 73 (-5)
Mitchell: 73 (-1)
Olver: 72
McLeod: 72

Johnson: 85
Hejda: 81
Wilson: 78 (+2)
O'Byrne: 78 (+2)
O'Brien: 77
Hunwick: 76
Zanon : 74 (-4)

Varlamov: 82 (+1)
Giguere: 80 (+4)

How would you justify Parenteau's rating going down?

I haven't seen much of him but he did have more points than anyone on the Avalanche last year.

I don't think his overall skills are on the same par as O'Reilly and Landeskog. His point totals were higher, but I think point totals by themselves should not dictate a players rating.
