Opening lineup - 5 years from now

Alright fellas - for years we've all been hearing the "ceilings gona cave in eventually on you" speeches from our friends regarding the Wings and their perrenial older roster. Given our rather disapointing offseason these deaths cries seems to be at an all time high. That being said - going forward Im pretty confident with what we have, whats in the system, and the liklihood that the extraneous factors that hurt our free agency/trade bids are probably the exception moreso than the rule (family, inter-divisonal, CBA issues etc).

So ... when the puck drop in October 2017 what do you think our roster will look like? Heres my rough estimation (barring trades, injuries, stunted development):

Nyquist Jarnkrok Jurco
Filpula Zetterberg Pukkinen
Tatar Helm Franzen
Tvrdon Sheahan Adbelkader

Smith Edler
Kronwall Outlette
Sproul Ericsson

Howard
Mrazek

If this things gains some momentum I say we bump this in 5 years and just see how close or far off these get haha.

ps. Edler is someone Ive always thought would make a good Wing. He s a huge whipping boy in Vancouver and if he cant work out a deal this year Id like to see Holland try and snag him next summer.

I'd love to see a line of Trvdon-Sheahan-Frk someday.

Nyquist-Jarnkrok-Jurco could be filthy too.

agreed. the likelyhood that all those prospects pan out into full time roster spots are slim to none.

there will be at least a few players in there that will be acquired via free agency.

i think it's impossible to predict what it will look like in 5 years

Edler turns 27 in April, 21st. I don't think he would walk. And if he does, my god what a bidding war that would become.

Z and Mule retire but Cleary is still kicking around - seems like a realistic Holland move
