I'll try to fill my life with things that are less ephemeral and more fulfilling and fail spectacularly.

does anyone think that some teammates will follow Malkin? that'd be hilarious and fun to watch them play together in a different league.

TSN doesn't really show any junior games except for the World Juniors. It's Sportsnet that shows a game per week usually on Fridays. Not sure if they will show more but they didn't back in 05.

I guess I'll be watching more Football

Austrian Hockey League.

Maybe some games from Finland, Sweden or the Czech Republic. I still have hope that there will be no Lockout. If there indeed is one, some guys in the NHLPA or the NHL are really damn stupid.

Ill probably get the AHL gamecenter (or whatever its called). A lot more prospects there this year than the previous years. AHL aint affected if theres a lockout, is it? Then probably watch some SEL/allsvenskan games on TV here in sweden.

There is. It's called AHL Live. Not sure of the price structure though.

I found my team.

Modo is coached by Ulfie. And I always had a thing for their red/green jerseys in the video games.

Hopefully people will stream their games online. I highly recommend the SEL or SM-Liiga from what I've seen of their games. Very good hockey.

Im considering getting a mini plan ticket package to Wheeling if I wanna see live hockey. Pretty much my only option. Dollar beer nights arent too shabby at the arena either.

Well, there's the Erie Otters. And the AHL broadcasts games online.

If there's a lockout, I'll just do more of what I do now -- watch junior hockey games.

Do you know of any sites that would stream SEL games?

Plain and simple: I'll put a lot of focus into other sports who don't treat their loyal (and very generous $$$) fans like garbage. For being a niche sport that depends on support from diehard fans, it really pisses me off that the NHL takes their fans for granted as much as they do.

Another lockout means that I will not be putting anymore of my hard earned $ into pricy tickets or merchandise.

I understood the motivations of the recent lockout because the league really needed to get their house in order.

But this one?

It's all motivated by unabashed greed and the never-ending tug of war between the commish and the players. Don't get me wrong - both sides are at fault. The owners are guilty of cooking the books to distort their financial performance in a negative way. The players are just downright greedy.

In terms of adversarial relationships, I can't think of any league that constantly goes at it like the NHL and the NHLPA.

Cats and dogs...

I would follow WBS more. Hopefully Roots Sports would pick up some coverage. I would also follow the Wheeling Nailers some more. I may even get to a few Nailers game this season. After that I will probably look into the OHL with the Otters. maybe even check out what Johnstown is up to with their new team (NAHL I believe). Dayton has also become a member of the FHL so maybe i will follow them.

I'm a Rochester Amerks season ticket holder. So I would have that and NHL 13 on 360
