Which New York Ranger are You Most Excited to See in '12-'13?

Which NYR player are you most excited to see play?

Out of all NYR players, I'm most excited to see Nash play, then Kreider, then McD, then Stepan. Hank's my favorite player, but we all know what to expect from him so I'm more intrigued about the above players because I feel like they can all have break out years. Yes that includes Kreider. I think he'll be a top Calder contender.

Edit: For the sake of convenience the thread has been changed from new players to all players.

McDonagh, id pay to just watch him skate in circles all day, he looks more natural on skates than most people do walking

Gotta be the new toy, Nash. But I gotta stand by my boy Gabby. I can't wait til he gets back and our offense looks somewhat formidable.

Kreider. I think Nash will flourish in NY. Lundqvist is strong every year. I think the defense will once again be very good. But Kreider has me excited. The team has the potential to be a much different team offensively compared to last season if Kreider has a big rookie season to go along with the acquisition of Nash. The Rangers scored 1 or fewer goals 19 times last season. That's 23% of the time.

Nash. I think if all breaks right he could score 50. New York will find out how much of a stud he is!

I would love to see Sauer playing again. Obviously because that means he would be back from his injury, but I think his outlet pass out of the zone is severely underrated. Last season our transition game was disappointing to say the least, I think having Sauer would definitely improve it.

Not to mention he is a rock defensively.

Nash.

Been dying to see him in blue since I started watching. Still in shock.

This

honestly, I'm excited to see McD and Kreider, hoping McD can hit the next level and take the next step towards being truly elite. and after last playoffs I'm excited to see Kreider with actual preparation and experience under his belt.

I'm almost more nervous to see Nash play because despite the fact I believe he will do very well here, in the back of my mind, I'm worried he will underachieve and disappoint us.

Nash.

I think the guy is every bit as good as Gaborik and I think he could easily score 40.

Kreider is going to be amazing... in time. I think people are talking about the kid like he's going to be an instant 30 goal scorer and I'm not sure that's reasonable though.

If he gets over 20, I think we have every reason to be very excited going forward.

Also Staal, I want him to prove the nay-sayers wrong.

personally (in order):
Kreider - highest ceiling right now. serious potential. hoping to see him gain a little bit of stamina to maintain that speed for longer periods.
McDonagh - 2nd highest ceiling. most proven kid. favorite current player to watch. going to be interesting to see if he can repeat last season defensively; but more importantly, i'm interested in seeing his offensive game develop with some powerplay time.
Nash/Richards/Gaborik - as a line. it's clear they'll excel apart, but the potential of playing them together will be exciting-- be it on the powerplay or even strength. when that kind of skill gets together other teams are going to tremble.
Staal - a full year after the concussion. arguably our best defenseman in the playoffs. he's going to have a full camp and some good rest. high expectations of him

additionally(no order):
mcilrath - if he readies himself he will be a huge plus to the blueline and a net presence on D. his size coupled with his physical style fills a huge gap on the back end.
sauer - just to know the kid is healthy would be great. if he can bring what he brought pre-concussion then we go up an entire tier defensively.
del zotto - another year of defensive work and maturity under his belt. can he still play on the 3rd pair and be productive with his shaky confidence or will the demotion take a beating on him?
thomas - say what you want, i think this kid has a serious chance of making the team if we have a full season. his creativity is clutch and with gaborik missing we could use the raw skill to start us off.
miller - if he can step into a 3rd center role this season with his skill-set and size we're complete on offense.

i think girardi is going to have a down year, but i think both of his potential pairings will be much better and make up for any lapses.

Any of them. That means there is a season!

That being said, I cannot wait to see what Kreider can do with a full season.

Everyone else

New toy syndrome you can say. I just want to see some big, strong, fast wingers on the Rangers.

With Nash finally acquired, I don't have to worry nearly as much about my Staal jersey becoming a relic.

My Dubinsky jersey on the other hand...
