I'd love for that trade to happen, but that is severely biased. Add Hjalmarsson and a first at minimum.
A top 9 with 3 All-Stars and the one of the best #3 C in the NHL isn't that bad.
Plus even if Kane leaves and all 23 of the goals he scores aren't replaced in any way shape or form, the Hawks only go from 5th in scoring to 13th, if the GA and PK are improved in the deal it's not a bad trade.

And what about all the goals he creates from passes? Conveniently forget about that? Guys like Sharp and Toews' goals are reduced and our PP is probably even worse. Kane is our best offensive talent...trading him is dumb. If we want to improve our PK then maybe we trade useless bottom 6ers who can't PK like Bickell, Frolik, Hayes, ect. and stop using a 21 year old rookie who sucks defensively on the #2 PK unit.

If we get a player that could nearly replace him and get Miller on top of that, I would start to think about it. If we don't get a sure Top6 player, no thank you

LOL, what a terrible post.
We should trade Keith for Willie Mitchell too, since we would only drop 5?goals but our PK would improve.
We should trade Toews too. He's far too injury prone.
Ya, lets trade the guy who gets the same amount of points, but provides selke type defense, leadership, and excels at every other possible aspect of the game.
We could trade Kane for a #1 goalie + and be a better playoff team.

Maybe, maybe not. Kane is out best offensive player in the playoffs. Scoring is hard to come by in the playoffs especially.
I wonder if Kane for Bryzgalov would've helped us. He was considered a top 10 goalie around this time last year.
There are maybe like 5 goalies I'd consider trading Kane for. By in large, they simply aren't that valuable. They are the most streaky and unpredictable. One year Craig Anderson is an allstar, then next he has a sub .900 SV%. JS Giguere is a Conn Smythe winner and dominate and 2 years later he is a backup. Mike Smith is a backup, borderline AHL goalie in 2010-11, then in 2011-12 he is a top 5 goalie in the NHL statistically. No GM would be dumb enough to shop Kane for a goalie IMO but you never know with Bowman I guess.

I'm not talking about any #1 goalie, only specific ones.
There are lots of skaters I would trade him for too.
