I tried copying and pasting from the leafs forum. Don't think it worked. If someone knows how to transfer the data to here please do so. It's worth a look. And enstrom got screwed with his overall.

Grrr. My want of this game is conflicting with my want of not giving EA any of my money.

Stuart at an 81 which is the same as Enstrom... love it! Stuart will be my d-man of choice in this game!

I guess I will have to pick this up as it may be the only hockey on tv this fall... I'm watching all my old Rock'em Sock'em Hockey tapes/dvds and when I'm done those, I'll need something else to fill the hockey void!

Those are some interesting lines... Miettinen on the second, Burmistrov centering the fourth instead of our best faceoff taker and apparently we've re-signed Fehr?

Enstrom got screwed on the rating. Even Slater did to some extent although I recognize EA doesn't care about fourth-line players at all.

I won't be buying the game since I got last years.

Oooooh, first time posting here.

I like how Scott Upshall is a center all of a sudden, and Kris Barch is still on the Panthers(Devils).

lol

Datsyuk is better than Ovechkin, Malkin, Stamkos, H. Sedin and D. Sedin.

Come on.

I know I'm biased but those ratings for the panthers are an absolute joke. They might be the lowest rated team in the game. Campbell and Gudbranson are criminally underrated by EA especially when you consider other young defenseman who didn't have as good of a season were given ratings in the low to mid 80's. Not even posting Huberdeau is another slight that annoys me. Just tells me that he is going to get the standard 75 overall with above average potential that they give to all 1st round draft picks that they don't think will be in the NHL this season.

Also tied for lowest rates starting goalie in the game. Just pathetic job by EA

A lot of the ratings look all messed to hell, but I still can't wait to play the game.

Ladd who had pretty much the same stats in the past two seasons, dropped from an 85 to an 83.. but i'd say 83 is about right.

Wheeler didn't move at all... wack.

Pavs drops from an 84 to a 82... :S.

Enstrom drops from an 84 to a 81... super underrated.

Jokinen drops from an 84 to a 82.

Little from an 83 to a 82.

Burmi from an 82 to a 77

This game is going to be a huge bust... just like every other EA hockey game.

As much as I feel that EA was inaccurate with several players (some better, some worse), I do like how they put more separation between great players and good/average players. They seemed to be afraid to make any NHL roster player below a 75-77 in the past. Doesn't seem to be the case here. Which I don't mind. besides, the overall means fairly little, as long as the "offensive, defensive, and athletecism" attributes are accurate.

The games are made in Vancouver, which partially explains how a team that couldn't make it out of the first round has so many highly rated players

EDIT: looked over the Toronto ratings... can't explain that. Even Leafs fans recognize how awful some of those players are and EA gave them ratings over 80.

Now, that being said (above), I am skeptical on the individual attribute accuracy. For instance, Oduya is an 80 and Enstrom is an 81. I see them as similar style defensemen in the way that they are both smaller, less physical, better skating players. However, outside of MAYBE durability, Enstrom has Oduya beat (or drastically beat) in every other category IMO. Yet they are practically the same overall. Something doesn't seem right there. If Enstrom is a legit 81, I would peg Oduya for a 69-71.

Wow, some of those ratings are seriously out to lunch. Who decides those anyways? How is Bouillon rated higher than Enstrom?

Matt Stajan is an 82. EA must have added an "overpaid" attribute to the performance breakdown. Stajan should be around 98-99 in that category. Brought up his average.

Different stats are worth more than others thus the reason the grades are skewed. Overall means nothing.

I don't see the big deal here. I've played EA's series of sports games since the days of the Apple II and they have never gotten the ratings 100% accurate. Never will either. It's far too subjective. This board teaches you that there is practically no real consensus on players abilities overall, never mind on a farcical numeric rating thereof. So maybe we should cut them some slack.
