Strome. I think because Grigs is so fresh in my head I feel like it's closer.

Absolutely Strome cant believe its this close. First of all he has displayed more skill and produced at a higher level in the CHL. 2nd of all he doesnt have any rumored character issues that Grigs has. 3rd of all head to head in the canada russia series he was obviously better. 4th and most importantly he's Canadian, the chances that he works out and fits in are so much higher. Like it or not the amount of Russians that have bolted, havent meshed or are rumored to not be committed cannot be ignored.

*Edit - 5th reason he was drafted higher in what appears to be a stronger draft.

I have this feeling that Strome is going to bust. Nothing personal against him or the Isles, just my spidey senses tell me he's going to bust.

I said about equal. I think Grigs has higher potential, but is also much more likely to bust.

Grigorenko is a high risk high reward guy, with Strome your getting at least a great 2C.

After watching Grigorenko in the Canada-Russia series I fully believe his rumored on ice character issues are real. Huge bust potential.

Strome has a ton skill, 5th overall pick, 106 point draft year in the OHL and has non of the issues

Surprised it's this close

edit:

Habs fan saw 20 minutes of a divisional rival prospect and wasn't impressed? Shocking.

Grigorenko - if he reaches 70% of his potential he will be a 2nd line center. If he reaches 100% of it he will be an all star center. He has unreal talent.

Strome is great too but he has less value unless he reaches close to his full potential.

Grigs has a higher ceiling and is virtually a lock to make the NHL when it opens because of his size and passing skills - Strome may be in tough his first couple years.

Taking the lazy enigmatic selfish commie. Too much of a beautiful talent there, I want Grigorenko to succeed. For my eyes only.
