Jake Gardiner or Morgan Rielly

You can only have 1 of these players for the next 20 years, which one do you take?

Gardiner since he's proven. They both have similar upside in my opinion.

for the next two decades? Rielly AINEC, Gardiner although is a good player, he is slightly overrated around here.

I will gamble on Rielly big-time and he will prove his worth.

Considering Rielly was the best player drafted n the 2012 draft.. you have to pick him over Gardiner..

How is Gardiner overrated? Lol.

I'll take Rielly. I think he will be better defensively and offensively.

Tough to pick between the two, Gardiner stepped up a bit in the latter half of last season (21 points in 40 games). Glad to have both

Rielly. for a 20 year period I'd roll the dice with the younger player.

From what I understand of Rielly, he has elite hockey sense, which sounds like an edge on Gardiner, who plays more on instinct and seems prone to the occasional mental gaffe.

We already had a thread just a few weeks back. Anyway too small of a time period to change my answer.

Gardiner.

Gardiner is a figure skater in hockey gear. Rielly is a chess player in hockey gear who happens to be about as good a skater as Gardiner. I'll take Rielly.

Yeah, I know. I haven't got much love for Gardiner, I think he's tremendously overrated.

Reilly has the potential to be the best Leaf draft pick since Coliacovo

I like Jake a lot, I think he has a great tool-set, but Morgan just seems like he has that "it" factor when compared to Jake. Morgan is more explosive than Jake, he passes better, he skates better (Jake is probably a little more deceptive with his skating), has better hands, has a little bit of a higher compete level, and seems to be better on the hockey IQ department. I take Morgan because I think at the same age he has the ability to be better, but we'll see I guess.

Proven what? that would be like saying at this time last year, that MPS is better than the nuge because he is proven...

for the record I think this poll will look silly in a couple of years, Rielly is going to be unreal. Truly wish the leafs didn't get him also don't think Gardiner is going that great.

Tough to vote against Gardiner because he had a great season last year, and is more proven because of said last year and looks like he'll only get better. But I would choose Rielly due to the fact that he could potentially be more if he reaches his higher ceiling. But for Leaf fans it is defiantly nice to have both.
