I have played about 10 games on the NHL 13 demo and can't score a goal for my life hahaha
I didn't know you had to move the controller over to select a team. So I was playing NHL13 Demo and it took me 3 games to realize that I wasn't actually controlling the players! I thought I was a natural!
I don't know if we're allowed to discuss trades yet, but if so: Sens here. Looking to get a little bit younger on the back end. Phillips, Kuba, and Gonchar are on the block. Not looking for anyone properly young, but rather just younger. Guys in the 25-30 range.
Also, I'm in favour of the "can only trade original assets before release" rule.
Here is a short explanation what is the situation of Colorado Avalanche franchise.
We are an emerging team, not counting on getting to playoffs in season 1. However picks won't interest us that much as we are midway through our rebuild. Should we trade one of our young core, we need quality back.
We are interested:
- roster players who can help now
- nhl-ready (or almost) prospects
- 2013 picks
We are not interested:
- Veterans with short contracts (our window isn't open yet)
- 2014 picks and forward
Untouchables are only Landeskog & Erik Johnson
D: Ryan Wilson (76), Ryan O'Byrne (76)
F: Chuck Kobasew (78)

Fans are becoming to become restless with the lack of progress but the talent in youth is in spades. It may not be “the year” yet but it coming fast upon us.
The Islanders might not be contenders this year but they do plan on challenging for the playoffs, and the wait before they become perennial contenders is almost over, and the reward for the loyal fans is soon to come.
Offensively the workload is placed once again on John Tavares to improve on his 81 point season and become a star in this league. The supporting cast now includes Brad Boyes in hopes that we will reclaim his scoring touch.
The Islanders are not going to sacrifice the future in hopes of squeaking into the playoffs. This means that unless something substantial is coming back the top prospects and future picks will unlikely be moved.
Anyone can be had for the right place (an offer for Tavares would need to be exceptional)
Would like to move expiring contracts like Nabokoc, Streit, Visnovsky and if you’re feeling bold DiPietro.
A top scoring winger to complement Tavares
A shut down defensemen
A 2nd line centre

Calgary GM here! As it stands right now I am not selling Kipper, Iggy unless it is an overpayment. I am looking to acquire a top 4 D-Man in exchange for a 5-6 D-Man and a top 9 forward. Message if any interest
Alex Tanguay (83) - Mike Cammalleri (85) - Jarome Iginla (85/87)
Curtis Glencross (82) - Roman Cervenka (??) - Jiri Hudler(81) Sven Baertschi(??)/Lee Stempniak (80) - Mikael Backlund(77)/ Matt Stajan(82) - Blake Comeau (79) Tim Jackman(71) - Blair Jones (71)- Roman Horak (71)
Jay Bouwmeester(86) - Denis Wideman(82)
Mark Giordano(85) - Cory Sarich (80) Chris Butler(78) - Anton Babchuk (79) Derek Smith (??)
Kipper (87) Karlsson (77)
Obviously a lot of potential moves are going to depend on the actual ratings (Iggy is 85 on the EA website but 87 on the demo) I am unaware of the overall for Baertschi, Cervenka, Brodie and Irving (all who should be on my starting roster) and Nemisz, Aliu and Bouma (potential 4th liners) as you can see I have a surplus off top 9 forwards and bottom pairing D-Men.
Top Prospects: (took out guys who aren't gonna be in the game, Gaurdreau, Jankowski, Granlund)
Improvements: Looking to add top 3 and top 6 forwards, top 2 d-man
Trading Block: Sullivan, Labarbera, Chipchura, Gordon, top 4 d-men. There are no untouchables on my team, but I'd like to keep my prospects. I wouldn't mind taking on large contracts or salary dumps as part of a trade, and future draft picks are up for trade, not looking to rebuild, but trying to fill the holes up front! I appreciate all offers!
