I think the only reason he's working out in California is because he probably maintains a home here. Same deal with Lupul, Ryan Miller (his wife lives out here), etc.

Ryan might end up on 1st line imo. Since Bruce said that he`ll give Cogs a full time winger job, and is expecting about 15 goals from him, i could see putting Cogs on 2nd line LW.

I might be completely off with some lines, but i`ll give y shot:

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry
Cogliano-Koivu-Selanne
Winnik-Bonino-Devo
Beleskey-Holland/Pelly-Staubitz

For me it seems as the most logical selection, but even i`m sure the lineup will be different because some pieces wont fit. Again, as i said it half year before, and now - i cant`s see Palmieri in the lineup and based on his play in the AHL, maybe he don`t deserve it.

Other possibilities:

If Bobby is split from The Twins, then i could see Winnik getting some time, at least tryout, on top line. He`s an LW, and as much as i remember, he can cycle and definately fight along the boards. the thing that won`t let him stay there is his pretty bad shot.
If Beleskey will be full of confidence, maybe he`ll see time on top line too, but then again, Bonino should be so full of confidence, he could be #1 center on 90% NHL teams

Outside of Bobby i can`t see any other LW to put up with The Twins full time.

He wont play in all games, but he could see some share of ice time.
Sexton could also be in that place in some games, but i can`t see anyone else there. Palmieri? Nope, not on the 4th line.

Exept Devo plays on 4th line.

Ryan-Getzlaf-Perry
Winnik-Koivu-Selanne
Cogliano-Bonino-Palmieri
Beleskey-Holland/Pelly-Devo

I have hard time fitting Winnik with Koivu and Selanne, but who knows!

One way or another, it`ll be interesting how things will shape out. It`s near to impossible to predict the lineup, especially since the lines will most likely be juggled again.

Our bottom 9 center situation is copletely unclear. The good news for bottom 6 (or 9) is that we got a good one in Winnik, but that`s about it.

And if i`m not mistaken, all our defensean are lefties, and most of them are used to play left side. We will be weak on the right side.

We got more grit in Winnik, Souray and Allen, but not sure if we will be mobile enough and if our PP will be at least a little better than last year, when it sucked. We did lost Lubo, but he sucked last season anyway.

Sexton should not be brought up. He is butter soft and not particularly effective at anything right now.

That is exactly what i, you, and most likely everyone else hoping for. But i look at it since he have a 1 way contract and may be in Anaheim as a #13 forward.

I could see Staubitz playing majority of games at the start, as it is ussual for enforcers at the start of the season (even if it is as short as this - teams tend to show their toughness at the beggining and slow it down when the playoffs come closer).
So Staubitz(mostly)/Sexton at the start, but when the season gets in 20 games or so, Devo could move to 4th line and Palmieri brought up for 3d line. + infinitive juggling brought to you by Bruce

1st line - The Twins needs a bigger guy who can cycle and Palmieri is not that type.
2nd line - Even if we sign AndyMac next offseason, we don`t know if Teemu and Saku are coming back. Even if they come back, they might not be top6 caliber anymore
3d line - Ryan, Bonino and Palmieri had a great chemistry for a while. Maybe Booby and Boner could find some with Cogs too.
4th line - Devo sometimes plays left wing, but i can`t remember Beleskey ever on right wing.

*You forgot Winnik
**If you want to sign AndyMac next offseason, you shouldn`t take The Twins for granted

If we traded for AndyMac, I think he'd play 2C with Bobby and Teemu on his wings. I think that'd be a very effective line for us.

Edit: I want Murray to make a run at Ryan O'Reilly. He would be the perfect 2C. And he's young.

As Mightyquack said, Staubitz is barely a hockey player. If we were going to play an enforcer for a lot of games we would have just kept Parros.

If we would trade for AndyMac, we would have to give up a lot.
I`d love O'Reilly too, but i don`t think we could sign him. We could drafted him insted of Holland or Palmieri, though

We wanted to kept him. We made an offer, but he went to Florida, because they offered him more playing time instead of just fighting.
Staubitz were near the top in fighting majors last year. With only west coast games left, including division games, i could see us using Staubitz.
After all, Murray signed Staubitz for a reason.
I`d love player like Konopka, but, oh well...

Staubitz was signed to play the Parros role of only playing a bit part role. If he were going to play a big role we'd of kept Parros I reckon.

I'd be shocked if he plays 75%+ of our games tbh

Me too. I think he`ll get around 50-60%

I never said Staubitz will play a big role, not sure where you got it.

What i said was, that he`ll most likely get playing time at the begining of the season. His role will only be fighting and kill few minutes as a 4th liner.
He also played around 40 seconds per game on PK in Montreal and around 30 seconds on PP. He might get a some time on our special teams too, but definately not as much as in Montreal, and basically, nothing big.

I think O'Reilly stays with the Avs. I think he's just holding out for more money at the moment.

Agreed.
He`s also RFA.

Will the new agreement between the players and the league will make some changes in regard to what teams must give, if they sign RFA? Or is that a thing outside agreement?
I suck at contracts

If the things are the same as they were - it will be overpayment anyway. If we (or someone else exept COL) sign him as a RFA, it will be a lot of draft picks. If trade for his rights, it will be a lot to give to Colorado anyway.

So, unfortunately, it is an overpayment or nothing

It's the same as it was under the previous CBA. They abandoned the RFA changes a few weeks ago.

I really have a hard time coming up with lines for the Ducks. As far as I remember Ryan doesn't want to play with the twins and IMO he should have his own line anyway. He was a #2 pick he should be able to carry one.

Maybe something like that? We'd have 3 lines very capeable of scoring IMO.

Beleskey (Maroon?)-Getzlaf-Perry
Ryan-Holland-Palmieri
Cogliano-Koivu-Selanne
DSP-Bonino-Winnik/McMillan
Staubitz

McMillan is injured. According to Duckstud, Ryan has no problem playing with the twins.

I'd like to see Bonino with Ryan and Palmeri and I would put Bonino over Holland right now, just because he had better chemistry with both wingers.
