My best guess for lines would be something like this (Unsure if Holland will be #2 C, but are we really going to go with Koivu or Bonino as #2 C?)

(Weren't we splitting time with the 2nd and 3rd line this season? I swear I saw some postings on it in September about an idea like this)

?-Getzlaf-Perry
Palmieri-Holland-Ryan
DSP-Koivu-Selanne
Beleskey-Bonino-Winnik

Fowler-Beauch
Allen-Sbisa
Souray-Lydman
Guenin
I think most fans were floating a 2A/2B line system, while also splitting up Teemu/Saku (Boudreau even confirmed that notion).

Something like this

Ryan - Getzlaf - Perry
Palmieri - Holland - Selänne
Cogliano - Koivu - DSP
Winnik - Bonino - Beleskey/Staubitz

Fowler - Beauchemin
Allen - Sbisa
Lydman - Souray

Hiller
Fasth

I don't think Teemu will work with Getz/Perry or Holland/Ryan

I don't think that either Lindholm or Vatanen are going to get tested yet. Lindholm is injured too. I would like to start with:

Beauchemin-Fowler
Allen-Sbisa
Lydman-Souray

If they feel like this lineup needs more puckmovement, bring in Vatanen.

Offence is still a questionmark when it comes to 2nd center. Hopefully Holland will be able to take the job. Maybe try something like this:

Palmieri-Getzlaf-Perry
Ryan-Holland-Selänne
Beleskey-Koivu-DSP
Winnik-Bonino-Cogliano
Staubitz

First I didn't like the idea of breaking the Finnish twins but I guess it's time. And if it seems like that Holland isn't ready yet, swich Bonino or Koivu to 2nd line.

BTW, is the cap going to be 60 millions? There are few teams over it so do they have to get rid of players? I'm not expecting getting a star player but something useful could be had for cheap.

Has Patrick Maroon any chances making the team?

We need a LW, and he's been our most consistent forward down there, so I have to assume he has a chance.

I hope he has a chance. He's been a physical presence and force along the boards.

We might find out in a few hours if we see a few healthy scratches down in Norfolk.

They may not want to take a chance with injuries. It happened last night with Granlund. I wouldn't be shocked to at least see Devo sit out.

Good point!

We`ll see how these things`ll work out.

What do you think about juiors? Looks like we are not in McKezies list of teams NOT inviting juniors. I could oly think about Gibson, even though he have a slim chance right now with our depth, and i don`t think we need to rush him now. Maybe Rakell too, since he have a contract?

Rakell and Gibson were the two players we submitted for recall a few months back. I doubt that we'll see either in Anaheim this year. They might spend some time in camp, but I wouldn't expect more than that.

Has Maroon been hitting? I thought that he has the size but doesn't use it or is that a thing in the past? Definitely wouldn't mind giving him a try in Anaheim once again.

He doesn't throw the body around like some of our other players, but he definitely uses his size to protect the puck and muscle his way around in the offensive zone. The Ads guys think he resembles Bertuzzi.

I have one roster prediction, rather statement.. TEEMU! I couldn't care less about combos right now. Right now, no. In a couple days, yes. It means the world we get to see at least another season of #8 in a Ducks sweater

Same expectations here, but just thinking about it - how about these days in the life of John Gibson? Winning the gold the way he did, only to come back to the States and participate in an NHL camp. Thankfully, the pucks will do all the pinching necessary to tell him he's actually not dreaming.

Ok. I would just hope that a player his size would hit a lot. Although his playing style could really complement Getzlaf and Perry. We shall see, he should definitely get a chance.

Any ideas about PK and PP lineups? I would guess that 1st PP unit stays the same except that Souray replaces Visnovsky. Or should they go with for forwards and put Ryan on the top unit? 2nd PP could be anything depending on which youngsters get in.

1st
Selanne - Getzlaf - Perry
Fowler - Souray (left shot, on the right side for the one-timer)

2nd
? (anyone's guess) - Koivu - Ryan
Beauchemin - Sbisa

I think it's far more likely that Maroon ends up in our bottom six if he makes the team. He still has some aspects of his offensive game that need to improve for him to get any top six consideration.

beleskey/palmieri-getzlaf-perry
ryan-holland-selanne
winnick-koivu-cogs
maroon/beleskey-bones-dsp

not really sure how to do these lines up. i dont think the depth is there without bobby on his own line and we will just get beat to hell like last year all over again. hopefully holland and palms can really step up

I'd guess the ? Would be Palmieri's to lose. No other snipers. Unless they think parking a big body in front of the net is a good idea.

Gotta feel for the Admirals. It's very likely that KP and Holland get the call up.

Palmieri and Holland were never real Admirals anyways, so it doesn't matter.

He's not really built to hit, unfortunately. He has only mediocre balance and is slow. He needs to do what he's been doing, which is use his size to protect the puck. Bertuzzi and Penner should be his role models.
