Good book about Yzerman?

So I've been jumping through Amazon, looking for a good book about Yzerman. The best seems to be ''Yzerman: The Making of a Champion''. The reviews are mixed, however. So I was wondering if anyone here has read it and could give some insight if it was worth buying?

Also ''The Captain'' by Detroit free press, which seems to consist mostly of their articles, any reviews on that one?

I bought "The Captain" couple of years ago, thought it was pretty good.

One of the best books to read as a Red Wings fan would be "Blood Feud". It covers the Wings-Avalanche-Rivalry from many different angles and is very well written.

Yeah thanks, I've got the Blood feud on under order already.

Blood Feud is excellent. Adrian Dater covers the Avs, but he did a real good job being impartial (and writing a good book), imo.

I read Yzerman: The Making of a Champion years ago. It was pretty meh. The main issue was that it was so rife with factual errors that the author lost all credibility in my eyes, and so I was suspect of everything else he was writing.

Yeah, I think some reviews on amazon mentioned that. Too bad, probably skipping it then.

Thanks.

Read the Making of a Champion a few years back. I liked it, thought it was good, but don't expect something on the level of Dryden's The Game.

As for Blood Feud, jasper nailed it. You're gonna like it.

I've never read The Captain.
