Joe Flacco went toe to toe with and just out dueled Peyton Manning, just like he outplayed everybody's golden boy Tom Brady last year. At least they have a kicker this go round, meaning sky is the limit. Unbelievable game. Ravens all the way baby.

Peyton Manning sucks in the playoffs, absolute flake. He cost them the game with that horrible throw. Brett Favre-esque. Stupid Broncos. Dude's lucky he won one SB.

I disagree. The Denver defense cost them that game

Peyton didn't cost the Broncos the game...the Broncos secondary cost them the game. The Jones TD near the end of regulation is what cost them the game.

Be that as it may the fact remains that Peyton lost yet another playoff game. How many games in a row did the Broncos win before tonight?

That isn't really his fault. It happens over and over again. Remember when the defense blew the game against the Jets (when he was on the Colts)?

Comparing his troubles to Brady, the Patriots defense steps up the playoffs, not the other way around. It's amazing that Peyton was even able to win a championship given what he has had to work with in the past.

Anyways, it is absolutely indefensible to blow a lead like that at the end of the game. Jacoby Jones isn't Calvin Johnson.

Really? You make it sound like his 2006 team had no talent....

The 2006 team was awesome (including defense), but for many seasons he's been keeping them in the playoffs without too much talent.

Almost 200 yards rushing for Kaepernick now.

Insane game for the kid.

Surprised Baltimore has made it this far after how bad they looked in the last month of the season. Funny to see San Fran convincingly beat Green Bay after they were written off in a home playoff game by most analysts for the second year in a row.

Hoping the clock strikes midnight on the ****hawks tomorrow. I think it's Atlanta's time. I would love to see Pigpen blow another home playoff game to a team he beat the stuffing out of a month previous, so go Texans though I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Kid made some beautiful throws as well. Was unstoppable with Crabtree, and that pass down the middle to Vernon Davis was absolutely perfect, on the money, over the shoulder in stride, with perfect pace. The guy is impressive, I think he's the real deal. Funny to see Smith on the sidelines, trying his best to look happy/supportive. Dude knows his career in SF is over.

Well, that was 2 of the more entertaining games you are ever going to see in the playoffs, back to back. Joe Flacco exorcised his playoff demons for one week at least with a huge win over a formidable foe. Can't believe Manning pulled a brainfart like that, but then, that's how a lot of these games are won. Somebody makes a mistake and..boom.

As for the Packers, they need to revamp that defence. When you have a QB like Rogers, it's a shame to piss it away with bad D. The Alien(Kaepernick) looked all world tonight, but if Seattle wins, it will be interesting to see if he can duplicate that.

How do you not give Peyton Manning the ball with thirty seconds to play needing only a field goal to win?

Yumma Humma.

Yeah, there's a point where you can play it too safe while playing it safe and that move was miles past it.

You have Peyton Manning, three time-outs (iirc) and 30 seconds to win the game....and you kneel? Weak.

They burnt one TO, but the point still stands.

2 TOs and 31 seconds, you have to trust one of the best QBs to ever play the game to throw the ball away and not make a mistake if the coverage is tight.

This divisional round, even though my team lost, proves why the NFL post-season is the best in sports. 3 incredible games... wow.

Wow unbelievable game i'm speachless.

Are u f***ing kidding me that is why you don't freeze the kicker that timeout cost the seahawks the game i can't stand when coaches do that i've seen it cost teams the game so many times it hurts.
A great comeback falls just short, but a great game nonetheless

I bet "Matt Ryan" is all smiles not just the QB i'm talking about the HFOil poster

On to New England!

Some coach must have tried this strategy a long time ago and it worked for him, so everyone else decided to jump on the bandwagon. Seattle cost themselves huge by not even getting a FG in their last possession of the first half. Those are my two favourite teams, so at least I would have had a horse in the NFC title game.

Feels good to stick one to those sore heads in the Football thread who have been whining all year about how Atlanta never deserved to be in the position they are in and refusing to eat crow when the Falcons snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Now they are all jumping on the 49ers bandwagon in the next poll, which I'm sure they probably would have done anyway if the Falcons won in a cakewalk.

Holy ****, my blood pressure was "rising up"

My heart can't take such games, but man, that's why they call him Matty Ice.

I admit they almost choked though!

Ughhh heartbreaking game to speak.

The Seahawks were sooo close to mounting the greatest comeback in NFL playoff history, only to BLOW it with ATL scoring a FG late in the game. What a ****** way to lose.

Nonetheless, I am SOO proud to be a Seahawks fan. They've given me so much thrill and magic while the Oilers were locked out.

Could've have asked for a better team during a crappier time.

So excited about this team's future.
