Now that Eberle has twinned Halls' contract...it makes Halls' deal more digestable for me.

Everyone is happy at this point.

Next trick will be figuring out RNH (hopefully we have "triplets") but thats a little ways up the radar at this point.

i really like both deals, but i can still see RNH and Yakupov signing for more down the road if the cap goes up or they reach another level.

Hall/Eberle signed for about 8.6% of the cap, so if the cap goes up by $10M, i don't see why RNH/Yak wouldn't be compensated by another $800k each, all other things being equal.

The bar is set at 6mil. That is why it was important that ebs got the same as hall. Anyone who asks for more than better be considerably better.... Which would be a good thing.

Hopefully so, though I doubt Yakupov will be an Oiler by the time his ELC runs out.

Wouldn't surprise me, either. If he's a 50-50 guy, they keep him. 40-40, tough call. 35-35 he gets traded for need.

Great news, even if he ends up the least valuable of the 4, if we get them all locked up to similar deals it's a win for us.

If he is the least valuable of the 4, we win multiple cups. Scary thing is, is that he.could be.

Well the boys definitely didn't take a pay cut... Nice to have them extended into their late 20's though. I hope they use 6 as a bench mark and RNH and Yakupov will settle happily.

Now lock up Ladi!!

Nice Summer so far for Tambo.

Why on earth would we trade a 35/35 guy for need? When was the last time a guy like that was traded and brought back a superstar? Heatley for Hossa maybe?

Keep him, and sign a UFA that thinks his best chance of winning a cup is with a 21-25 yo core like the one we're going to have.

Can't do that as they are not in the last year of their ELC.

So, are Eberle and Hall now tied for 2nd place for highest-paid Oilers of all time (behind Pronger)?

Considering the state of the franchise pre-lockout, it's so nice to see the team have the ability to re-sign talent instead of having to ship it away for picks/prospects.

WTF... There was 1 50-50 guy last season (Malkin), 1 40-40 player (Neal), and 4 35-35 players last season... What hockey planet are you on? There aren't much needs left if we have many players performing like that...

It is so nice to know your young players are staying put. You know you have Nuge for 6 years and Yak for 7... at least for now under the CBA, so having these two locked up long-term guarantees you'll have a long run with these guys. Now put the rest of the pieces together and go for it! I love these young players, they're fun to watch and all classy young men.

It's a complete win...!

Any player that feels they deserve more is simply not a team player, and should be shipped out in any event.

I mean, after the first few million, how much money is enough ?

This is a great day in Oilerland because we are assured not to fall by the wayside like Chicago did.

Wow, everything is lining up almost perfectly.

We're going to see multiple Cups, starting in about 3 years.

That's the way I see it too. It's like some people are now afraid that RNH could become even better than Hall and Eberle because we'll have to pay him more. Who cares? If RNH is putting up 95 points, give him whatever he wants. He'll deserve it.

Just need a goalie, a top 4 D, a fourth line that isn't dog***t and some centre depth. Plan the parade!
