statistics help in Vancouver

Hi all,

I'm looking for some statistics/SPSS assistance for a graduate level project here in Vancouver. I do not have a strong background in either. I have explored the UBC and SFU communities, but as of yet - have come up short.

Anyone here know of anyone (probably a grad student or maybe - senior undergraduate) with a great SPSS/stats background, who might be interested in a few hours of paid work (assisting me)?

I'm guessing there are quite a few students on here that might have a bit of a network to explore.

Thanks very much.

os

I'm decent with Stata but not at the graduate level yet.

I'm a hardcore stata guy but live nowhere near vancouver.

That said, have you checked out the UCLA stats webpage? http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/

TONS of resources there.

I have a fair bit of experience with Stata, too. Maybe PM and I can tell you if thats within my expertise.

You just gave me an awful flash back to SPSS at SFU Qualitative and Quantitative statistics for Criminology. *shuddder*. I actually had a nervous breakdown while doing research for Quantitative stats using SPSS as it just didn't make sense. Never again.

What kind of analysis do you expect using? I use SPSS everyday. I'm not a statistician in the true sense of the word, but I use enough multivariate stats to get by in my job.

SPSS is so much nicer and more useful than EViews (the software us Economics students had to use).
