I liked Dredd. It has some very striking visuals that I enjoyed, and it was a much grittier, dark adaptation of the Comics than the ridiculous Stallone version (which I own and love to watch) was.

Cage once made some pretty good movies

But almost everything he has made in last 7 years has been terrible

I liked Cage in Snake Eyes, Leaving Las Vegas & 8mm. You're right, he hasn't done anything good in a decade.

watched 21 jump street & In time (with Timberlake) yesterday. Liked them both and both are worth the time to watch them.

Another movie I really like is the other guys with Mark Wahlberg (one of my fav. actors)

Loved 21st Jump Street. I really didn't see a lot of commercials and trailers for it, and the woman brought it home one night... I was really surprised, and glad to have watched it. Very funny.

In Time had a very good premise but was poorly executed. I saw the same concept on a Twilight Zone years ago which was better

I believe it's been remade several times.

Went and saw the Expendables 2 for $4 in Naperville last night.

Pretty much exactly what I expected it to be.

Which is exactly the same as the first Expendables?

I did enjoy the first one. Great movie to watch with the dudes and a bunch of beer. Don't know if I can do a second one, though, that's more of a Redbox rental for me.

Saw 21 Jump Street last night, not at all what I expected it to be, it was decent. I ****ing hate Jonah Hill though, he needs to just go away. I don't see at all why he is in anything.

It's the first one plus a few Chuck Norris jokes and even worse dialogue. I loved it.

Saw Ted. I hated it. It was stupid as hell and immature. The target audience is obviously 13 year old boys so why make it r. I laughed maybe once which was at the beginning with the parents freaking out but that was it.

Any big Bond fans here? Apparently the new one (Skyfall) to be released in early November is being called the greatest Bond movie of them all, by the early critics who got a sneak peek. They've also rated it a 98% on RT after 42 reviews, with only one bad review. I'm not a huge movie guy myself, but definitely will be seeing this one shortly after its release.

My wife is in love with Daniel Craig (I don't blame her), so I'm sure we'll see this opening weekend.

I only see a few movies a year in the theater, but this one will definitely be one I get out to see.
