Apparently the issue has until Thursday to get resolved or Kerdiles will report to Kelowna. I'm just assuming here but the way the Rockets looks I'd think Nic has a top line spot locked up.

I thought Motte looked pretty good. Granato has him playing with Compher and Fasching (bumping Anthony Louis off the first line from last year). I think they all looked pretty good together. Size is still a bit of a limiting factor for him.

You can watch the entire U18 vs. Wisconsin game here.
Didn't see it posted anywhere.

Kelowna looks to be a playoff team, but not in the top 5 league contenders due to lack of top end offensive talent. They have a solid goaltender, good top end and depth dmen, but could use more high end forwards. Obviously Kerdiles fits right into that top 6 forward slot so it may be a perfect fit.

Don't watch this if you are hoping for the US to do well.

This was exactly my thought. THe Kohl Center is covered with ads and promotion and that afternoon I got plenty of "this is Coach Bielema, buy this crap..." on the radio pre football game.

But Kerdiles is a efin monster for taking that picture. Get the ***** out.

With Kerdiles likely WHL bound, the majority of the US WJC team will be CHL, even if they tried to make it pro-NCAA, I don't think its possible.

Look at the pool of Gibson, Sparks, Mahalak, Murphy, Jones, Seiloff, Biggs, Miller, Noessen, Trocheck, Jacobs, Galchenyuk, Matteau, Samuelsson, Vail, Hartmann, Kerdiles, Carrick, Boucher, Broadhurst, Nelson.

The D should have a little NCAA flavor with Trouba, Skjei, Reilly and Ghostisbere, but they forwards will likely be very CHL heavy besides Gaudreau, Grimaldi and Kuraly.

Silly question but isn't Team USA the U-18 group and the College kids 1 or 2 years older? It is hard to expect them to do well against an older team.

Yes USA U-18 are all born in 1995. College players can even be six or seven years older. Wisconsin has an '88 birth year player, four '89s and the majority are in the '90 to '93 range.

Yeah that's the purpose, to give them a strong challenge.

Well Merrill isn't u20 eligible so his only competition possibility is spring 2013 at the worlds.

But why would someone expect them to do good against older competition?

Sorry for asking a dumb question. They play Nebraska Omaha later this year and wasn't expecting them to keep up with a college team. Guess I'm wrong.

Sorry again. No more questions from me.
