Michael Kolarz has been used sparingly for the Frontenacs as a 4th line player/6th defense but been fairly effective. I assume he'll get more icetime on the back end now that Kyle Raftis has been traded, but unfortunately he's out for a few weeks with a shoulder injury.

Radek Smolenak, the Frontenacs other Czech import, is a late '86.

The only one I'm familiar with is Jakub Kindl in Kitchener. He is a very good skater, has pretty good shot, not overly physical (however, he has shown more physical play in the last month or so). He frequently makes a very good first pass to clear the zone (not always, but as a general rule).

He's starting to get the offensive side of his game going (I'm not sure whether it's because he's finally being let loose a little by the coaching staff, or just more comfortable with the North American game).

He's a treat to watch, and should only get better as this season goes along and could be outstanding next season.

Jakub Chech, from the Hounds, is a pretty decent netminder. In fact, he was the Czchec's 3rd goalie. He could make it in the NHL, if he can become consistent. Sometimes, he can steal a game, other times he'll let in a bunch of goals.

That's the only czech player I can comment on.

Forgot about Martin Tuma! Went to the WJC, strong, dependable d-man, scored 2 goals tonight to help the Hounds beat the Attack 3-2.

Is Tuma a 1st pairing defenseman in SSM?? Around how much ice-time does he normally log and does he play in all situations?? Saw on the boxscore that those 2 goals tonight were on the PP, so that probably answers part of it. Thx for any replies anyone can give.
