I personally don't care about the messages, but changing and updating the look of the room is just great in every way. I love it and I love that the theme is going to honor the past.

Great job Carlyle.

I dont think you're learning as you're going along, you're learning after the fact.

I remember when Alyn MacCauley (sp?) first started with the Leafs and he was wearing a T-Shirt I loved that quite simply said:

"F@#$king Relentless".

That's what I like to see in a team.

They should do a throw back to the past. Paint up each stall with pictures, numbers of the best leafs to ever play... Dmen get former dmen, first line forwards get former first line greats.. Etc. Celebrate the past and, motivate the boys to realize they will be imortilized in Toronto if they win it all.

I can just imagine RC now.

"Okay, I want that painting over here, and that one over there"

"No no! I wanted that over there!"

"How come there isnt that dot on the wall like I asked? DETAILS GUYS, DETAILS."

Can't wait to see the finished product. I'm sure some will sarcastically imply that it was the room that was making them lose but seriously speaking, I think the change could be good for their psyche. After the disastrous way they fell down the charts last season, anything that can remind the players that it's a fresh start and to learn from the past rather than dwell on it is good by me.

Edit: Just interesting not that this story made the front page of the Toronto Sun print. It's off season and this team still gets front page news over something as small as a locker room make over.

At least it appears that Carlyle has a more positive attitude towards being a coach than Ron Wilson did.

All i can remember is Wilson nit picking Kadri a part after he had a good game.
