Hainsey will turn out to be a good/great defenceman (part of our Big 3). Hossa could still turn out, plus he's much bigger. I believe he'll be a good piece to the puzzle in the near future IMHO,
I'd keep Hossa and Hainsey. Comrie is a fine player, but if he was brought to Montreal he would struggle. Quite simply Comrie, would need a Ryan Smith type player to be sucessful. Quite honestly, we don't have that kind of player, yet.
I am SOOOOOOOO reluctant do deal Hainsey. I believe he will be a gem, and I think that everyone is rushing this a little bit. The kid has talent.
I would definitely be interesting in acquiring Comrie for Hossa and another prospect other than Komi and Hainsey...
He is still young and a prolific goal scorer.
I couldn't agree with you more. I think alot of people underestimate Hainsey and Hossa.
Hainsey is still fairly young for an offensive d-man, and hasn't really shown what he's truly capable of.
I think this year is going to be Hossa's year. He's going to put up decent number, and improve on both offense and defense.
IMO these two will be so much better than Comrie that it won't even be funny.
1st off the Habs don't have a big enough need at center to give up on studs like Hossa and Hainsey. Their problem is depth. 2 for 1 won't help that.
2nd, the Oil are not giving up the home town boy, despite all the rumors and hype. Just won't happen. They are just playing hard ball. look for 5.0 mil over 2 years.
However, if it did happen K lowe would probably look for Higgins/Katsystin over Hossa.
I'm not sure about your reasoning behind suggesting this trade but I think BG is not very interested in another small forward...He did recently say in an interview that the HABS lack size and He would correct this problem....How does adding another small forward contribute to beefing up the team ?
Comrie has been nothing but a royal pain in the butt for Edmonton .He had the Oilers over a barrell and got a lucrative contract , and now he is pouting because K-Lo holds all the cards .If this spolied brat cant handle the media pressure in Edmonchuck how is he gonna handle tghe Montreal masses .Ide only trade Breeze-bye or Travesty for him ..thats it ..but he would ruin the chemistry in the Hbas room , which is already tedious at best .
Even though I wouldn't give Hossa and Hainsey for Comrie, I actually think we would need a guy like Comrie on our team. He would provide scoring and grit, something we are seriously lacking, especially with the potential injury to Koivu.
He is exactly the kind of player the Canadians don't need, in fact out of all the Oilers, I would rather have many others with size grit like an Isbister or a Moreau or even a Torres.
Not Comrie, also let's not talk about Koivu's injury until we hear officially what happened.
I'm sick and tired of trade proposal concerning our youngster ... once and for all, they will be raised in Montreal and nowhere else... unless we get Heathly, then I might consider it
u people hate perrault and audette for there D, comrie was like -30 last year
Yes people look at his offensive stats and think he's the real deal but Comrie doesn't play defense. He's a pure offensive forward, with no regards for his own zone. Plus he's poiled and whinny. Fans in Montreal would learn pretty quickly to hate him (which is already the case in Edmonton).
