Can call round 15 with the advantage Joakim Andersson has. Nedomlel edged Paterson as the add.

Gave me an error message saying the poll would be a duplicate??? so...

Don't really know how to fix that won't let me add the poll after the fact and leaving for dinner. I guess a mod can probably just shut this down if you cannot edit the poll in after the fact. My bad, strange error message to get though.

Aubry again.
Backman is a good vote here. But the griff watchers i know like Aubry a lot. Given his skating, size and work ethic, I think Aubry will be a good player in Detroit.

Also gotta consider Andreas the Greek here too.
Hard to discount Almquist now that he's made the jump, but an undersized defenseman with below average skating? Doesn't sound promising.

It was hard not to have nice things to say about Aubry whenever I watched the Griffins last year. I also think Ferraro has progressed into an intriguing bottom 6 guy in the future. Watching both play in their depth roles in GR made me think of having a very good fourth line some day soon in Detroit.

Almqvist skating has improved in my opinion. I am curious to see if I can write that off as an issue once I have seen him in the AHL for a little bit. I do think he has made strides but like you said most undersized guys have legitimate wheels and I haven't seen that either. But man he really can read the game and is a crisp passer. Just remains to be seen if that will be enough.

Yes, Backman. It's between him and Aubry for me, I've had a good viewing of both and I like Backman's upside a bit more(in respective positions).

Ferraro because in my mind he has more offensive upside than Aubry. Can also play both center and wing + right-hand shot. Bäckman is a good choice as well, one of my favorite prospects.

Add McCollum, I think he still has a better chance than Paterson atm.

Paterson was a joke of a pick in this years draft... I bet Osgood had something to do with it....

I went Almquist. Mostly because he has a ton of promise and this year should show if he will be a player or not. If he makes the AHL allstar team we got a player. If not he drops off our depth chart. On the possibility alone I slot him in here.

AA is pretty high on my list for same kinda reason. Aubry/Backman are the safe choices. But are they really all that sexy than Lashoff as a prospect?

Um.... We know Osgood had a lot to do with it, the Wings have said as much rather publically. He is a big athletic kid that had a very good second half and playoffs. I am not a fan of drafting goalies that high but that doesn't mean I am just going to say he sucks forever because I don't like it. There is still a lot about Paterson to like as far as a goalie prospect and we still need to improve our goaltending depth because what if Mrazek turns into McCollum at the pro level..

I like Aubry and watch a lot of the griffs but his ultimate ceiling is a Paul Gaustad type of player. With all the griffs games I've watched theres no way I can see Aubry as a higher rated prospect then Ferraro really. Everyone thinks hes a bust cause he isnt a scorer but hes looking like a bottom 6 type guy for sure

And AA shouldnt be considered ahead of most of these guys, I wouldnt even consider him above Callahan really. Everyone reads about his nice fancy hands and speed but he is the wings softest player in the entire organization

I think Mccollum is a complete bust. Theres still some hope for Paterson, he had a great second half we'll see what happens.

I know he is just in his draft year so it could develop but this is a part of my problem with the AA (forward) hype that is happening right now. People keep throwing him out in our future bottom six. Well right now he is miserable defensively an is as soft as a babies backside. So yes he could develop those but we need to see them. Part of the reason Ferraro started hearing bust was he wasn't scoring enough, well he showed the defense and grit that you know he can play bottom six now, so he is back in the discussion. Until AA has either a huge jump in scoring or physical play he is a very boarderline prospect speed alone might get him some look in the NHL but he won't stick without other skills coming along. It is early but it is more likely he becomes a top 6 player and that is a long shot than a quality bottom six type.
