I'm loving the fact that I used my first 2 picks on goalies and am still having to skim spot starters to meet the weekly minimum.
My theory of goalies is going strong this season. Every year a big name G struggles, while some unknown provides the best waiver wire pickup possible. In 2010 it was Tim Thomas, in 2011 it was Elliot, this year its Fasth. I try to never draft goalies early unless I know they're a shoe in for a great season (Lundvquist, Rinne, Luongo, etc).
I'd probably have put Quick in that category too, but I was wary of a hangover. You're getting pretty unlucky.
Meanwhile my strategy of loading up on Penguins players is working well. Pretty sure I have the entire Crosby line in Kunitz-Crosby-Dupuis. On a night when they blow out an opponent its like 10 points alone for me. St. Louis and Elias are also doing work for me, can't believe I got them in Rounds 5 and 11.

Well, I suppose last year's B-league was similar to that, yes.
Looking back at the final regular season standings FF ran away with 23 points over vofty in 2nd place. Vofty had a good 26 points over Cin in 3rd. Then there were the rest of the playoff teams 17 points below him and all within a single digit difference of each other.
Faceoff wins.
