Holy cow, YES! Totally underrated. I've never even seen that. Ryan Shannon seemed like he was gonna be a good one.

Can't find a video of it but Brendan Morrison vs Detroit.

Shanahan knocks his teeth out with a high stick, then scores the game winner in OT.

That was the last time Bmo didnt have a lisp when he spoke.

Great moment for him though.

This old-ass super low res highlight video I made of the 02/03 season way back in the day has got a few good one it.

0:25 Klatt's redirection to win Game 1 vs the Minnesota Wild (sigh)
1:00 and 2:12 Two almost identical rocket slapshots by Salo into the top of the net off a rush
1:28 Trevor Linden's breakaway goal to take (at that time) the Canucks all-time goal record (gotta love Salo casually running interference on two guys at the same time )
2:18 That Marek Malik Breakaway Goal Assist
2:53 A goal by Jovanovski that I only remember because it happened late in the game to either tie or win it, and because I was watching at a friend's house and jumped up and yelled YES **** YOU CALGARY loud enough that his mom got mad at me
3:33 Naslund deking out a hapless Coyotes goaltender (Zac Bierk? I have no idea why I remember that) from behind the net and then roofing it.
3:50 Dank passes it to himself off the back of the net, brings it out the other way and scores. I don't think I've ever seen this one on one of those Top 10 Sedin Highlight reel features that pop up from time to time but it's a ridiculously slick move.
3:55 Naslund's end-to-ender against the Sens, but I think most people remember that one.

Sorry for the cruddy quality, back in the day we didn't have CanucksHD or Makaveli or any of those guys so I had to painstakingly rip these off of the low-res streaming highlights on TSN.ca or Canucks.com, convert them to the proper format and then stitch them together using VirtualDub.

I love how he does the "point to your teammate that made the nice play" thing after to goal but looks all confused about who to point at.

I really miss Tambo. Seemed just like Raymond with better hands but then gassed out.

Yikes.

No video, but do you remember this?

Feb 18, 1983 - Patrik Sundstrom bumps Randy Holt, a Washington tough guy, and suddenly Holt drops his gloves and starts hammering a surprised Sundstrom in the face up against the boards. Sundstrom doesn't even get his arms up in defence! Tiger Williams comes from a fair distance away, and cross checks Holt hard, in the back of the head. A small donnybrook ensues, and Williams ends up with a match penalty.

Most match penalties I don't sympathize with, however this time I was totally on Tiger's side... what was Holt trying to prove beating up a fairly defenceless Sundstrom?

Man, Matt Cooke was such a dynamic player in Vancouver. It sucks things panned out the way it did when he left Vancouver.

this game was my first inkling that the '11 team was something special. hansen goal at 2:50 sums it up; manny and raffi just owned the wings on the boards and behind the net that night. #beforeitallwenttohellformanny+raffi

Yeah, that's probably when I realized this team was good. Usually we'd fold and lose those games.

However, I didn't register the ride we were on until Burrows scored in OT to put us up 2-0. That was when I went: Holy ****, this is the Finals. It's June.

I'm having trouble remembering some of the games from 2010-11 for some reason (including this one). I loved those 40th anniversary jerseys. They just oozed confidence that year.

I miss the Canucks.

Miss having someone who can pick corners off the rush (Tambellini).

Good memories! that was the only game I got to see in person that year. I was in the 7th row. The whole building went nuts when we saw that pass by Henrick. What a player.

For someone who can't check these videos at work, please tell me someone has posted the Bieksa-Raymond-Bernier-Wellwood tic-tac-tic-tac-toe goal against Dallas from March 2009 too?

(The fact that it was a collection of present and future whipping boys makes it hilarious too.)

Although his name is mud around here these days... in the '82 playoff run, Ron Delorme laid a serious beatdown on Grant Mulvey after Mulvey had viciously elbowed Lars Lindgren in the head. Great moment of frontier justice.

Awesome choice - so meaningless in the grand scheme of things, but what a play for Lukowich's only goal as a Canuck.
