Would you do Enstrom instead of Kane?

How about we just scale it back to EKane?

would like it more if you take out Cormier & JHayes

Saad + Hjammer for EKane
that would be a steal for Chicago

Kane is a player we hope Saad ends up being as good... I really think this would be a no brainer for the Hawks. I don't see the reason why the Jets would accept that. Think they could get more for Kane than this

Cheveldayoff doesn't make that deal. Too heavy in favor of Chicago.

I'd take it, Winnipeg wouldn't.

Don't understand why Winnipeg adds to Kane, but I take it in a heartbeat.

I agree it's always better to add to a proposal so you don't get an instant negative reaction, but basically the consensus is you guys are not as high on Hayes and saad as I thought.

I love Hayes as a bottom-six player and am one of Saad's biggest supporters on this forum, but this is Evander Kane. Put him between Sharp and Hossa and watch all those guys' stats go up. That whole line would make the ASG and get at least 70 points each.

E. Kane isn't a centre.

Just assuming they would put him at center if he were on a line with 10 and 81.

I think Kane did play center in junior for Vancouver Giants. He might be able to make the switch back like Jamie Benn did this year. Either way, I would be ecstatic to have him on the Hawks but that just isn't going to happen.

Sharp-PKane-Hossa
EKane-Toews-Stalberg

When Teravainen hopefully takes #2 center spot...

EKane-Toews-PKane
Sharp-Teravainen-Hossa

lulz..not fair

Might have to give up Teuvo to get Kane.

Teuvo, Saad, Morin/Stalberg, and a 1st? That's what I think it would take.

Maybe we could get a package of Little and Kane.

E. Kane-Toews-P. Kane
Sharp-Little-Hossa

Filthy.

E. Kane isn't really a guy you want in the middle of the ice though. He's not a bad playmaker, but he's a natural goal-scorer and a shooter. I haven't seen alot of E. Kane, but he clearly doesn't have the two-way play of Patrick Sharp, who - also a natural goal-scorer - can play centre effectively because of his defensive capabilities.

If the Hawks managed to nab E. Kane without giving up a "core" peice, then I'd assume P. Kane would continue to play centre and E. Kane would play on a line with him and Hossa. Sharp and Stalberg would flank Toews.

That's too much.

Chicago could definately move Saad for E. Kane.. but both Saad and Teravainen would be a huge blow to the pipeline and you're going to need to replace Hossa in 3-4 years.

Don't think anyone gets Kane for less than overpayment. Have to give up a lot for a damn good player with ability to flourish even more and be part of the main core for a decade.

Like i said in the Trade thread, no way Bowman gives up Tuevo + Saad for E.Kane. Not that there's a problem with value, but because he can use those two prospects in a package for a fantastic center or goalie. I think Bowman knows that the best thing (only thing) he has going for him right now is that he has completely rebuilt this team's prospect pool after our cap meltdown in 2010. Even if Tuevo maxes out as a Marcus Kruger that puts up 55-65 points, we still have one of the nastiest top 6's in the league.

Would you we rather have...

Saad-Toews-Kane
Sharp-Tuevo-Hossa
Stalberg-Bolland-Shaw

OR

(assuming we give up Tuevo + Saad + Stalberg)

Morin-Toews-Sharp
E.Kane-P.Kane-Hossa
Jayes-Bolland-Shaw

we are high on them but realize that we have to give to get and that Kane is the player we hope our guys CAN become in the future

You don't give away your 2 best prospects, a top 6 forward and a 1st round pick unless your getting a top 10 player back, E Kane is good but not a top 10 player.

If Winnipeg doesn't move him for less than an overpayment, they'll eventually end up losing him for nothing.

Kane's salary demands will lower his trade value.

In a cap world, teams that want to be constant contenders need to stay away from guys like Evander Kane.
