36 - Matt D'Agostini
15 - Jamie Langenbrunner
10 - Andy McDonald
12 - Scott Nichol
74 - T.J. Oshie
57 - David Perron
75 - Ryan Reaves
09 - Jaden Schwartz
17 - Vladimir Sobotka
20 - Alex Steen
25 - Chris Stewart
91 - Vladimir Tarasenko

DEFENCE (7)
43 - Taylor Chorney
28 - Ian Cole

27 - Alex Pietrangelo
46 - Roman Polak

22 - Kevin Shattenkirk

GOALIES (2)
01 - Brian Elliott
41 - Jaroslav Halak

PS: I'm aware it says 25 players (Got that # from their twitter) and only adds up to 23, not sure who the other two are, though good guesses would include Chris Porter, Evgeny Grachev, Jeff Woywitka, Cade Fairchild, Phil McRae, and Andrew Murray.

The extra two will be Chris Porter and Jeff Woywitka. Andrew Murray could possibly turn up in camp as well.

CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Avalanche head coach Joe Sacco expects 26 players to be in training camp as soon as the players ratify the new collective bargaining agreement.

“We can only keep 23 so there will be some healthy internal competition on the ice for spots,” said Sacco on Friday when he met with members of the media at the Family Sports Center. “We will be looking over the course of the period of five days to watch these players and we’ll make our decision then on who stays.”

Of those 26, six will be Avalanche prospects from Lake Erie, the team’s American Hockey League affiliate. The Monsters players expected to be at training camp will be defensemen Tyson Barrie and Stefan Elliott and forwards Patrick Bordeleau, Mark Olver, Michael Sgarbossa and David Van Der Gulik. Only Bordeleau and Sgarbossa have yet to see game action in an Avs sweater.

With less than a week to prepare for the regular season – and with no preseason games – Sacco said the players should expect an increase in workload each day of the abbreviated camp.

“We don’t have a lot of time to wait so we are looking for guys ready to play straight off the hop,” he said. “That sense of urgency, you’ll see that right from day one of camp and you’ll see it carry over through the 48-game season. Every team is in the same boat here. Every team wants to get out of the gates running here and we are in the same predicament.”

A big topic of debate across the league recently has been who benefits more in a 48-game schedule, young players or veterans. This topic topic was brought up to Sacco in regards to Milan Hejduk, the club’s oldest player at 36 years of age.

However it didn’t take long for the Colorado head coach to respond with a confident “I think it will benefit him.”

“I have had the chance to watch him (Hejduk) the last couple of days here, looking out my window, and he looks like he has some good jump in his stride and looks light on his feet,” Sacco said. “I think [the long break] has benefitted him. He takes pride in his play and his commitment to fitness and he looks a little bit recharged. I really think it will benefit him having the short schedule.”

With the players having yet to ratify the CBA (expected on Saturday), Sacco hasn’t been able to “coach” his players during this past week’s player-ran practices.

But what he has seen from the window of his second floor office at the Avalanche practice facility has no doubt excited him – just in case the beginning of a new hockey season didn’t already.

“Moods and spirits are high and everybody is excited to be back. They all (the players) have a lot of enthusiasm,” Sacco said. “There’s some good jump and pace in their steps. It’s exciting for everybody and it has certainly been a long time coming. I can tell our players are very excited as well.”

Because the final ratification process is not fully completed, there is no set time and date that the players must report to their clubs, which is why there are still a couple Jets left to trickle into Winnipeg.

“Until training camp starts and until an actual CBA is in place, the process is still undergoing," said Cheveldayoff. "There is no opportunity for coaches to really speak or coach with any of the players at this point in time. There’s no mandate that we can impose on anybody to be here by X amount of time until the CBA is ratified.”

The following players arrived from St. John’s on Wednesday: Defensemen Paul Postma, Zach Redmond and Derek Meech (who is not yet skating due to injury), and forwards Spencer Machacek, Maxime Macenauer and as expected, Alexander Burmistrov.

“We have some question marks that we’re hopeful can come into place. Burmistrov hurt himself playing in St. John’s and is rehabbing and it looks like, and we’re very hopeful he will be done rehab by the time training camp opens. Zach Bogosian is skating and we’re extremely hopeful that his injury process will continue to happen in fashion that is consistent with what the doctors are saying.”

Burmistrov missed 14 games with the IceCaps due to injury. Through 22 games, Burmistrov scored two goals and nine assists.

Retweeted by McKenzie, Florida invites Mike Mottau to training camp. Mottau had been playing for San Antonio of the AHL.

Seems like a mistake. He might end up somewhere in the NHL but it's not in Florida!

Can confirm that defenseman Mike Mottau has been released from his PTO for another opportunity. Great guy, wish him the best.

@SARampage_Voice
To dispel any confusion, Mike Mottau was released from his PTO to sign with another club. He is not going to Florida.

-- The club has recalled the following players from Springfield (AHL) for camp: Cam Atkinson, John Moore, Ryan Johansen, Matt Calvert, David Savard and Tim Erixon. Atkinson and Moore arrived Saturday in Columbus, while the rest of the group is expected to arrive in time for Sunday's on-ice session.

-- All practices held in the OhioHealth Ice Haus are free and open to the public. With Sunday as an exception, there will be one practice on Nationwide Arena ice and one in the OhioHealth Ice Haus each day, through Wednesday. Camp practices for Thursday and Friday will take place at Nationwide Arena.

-- The Blue Jackets will have 25 players in training camp, including center Boone Jenner of the Oshawa Generals (OHL). Jenner's 30 goals have him among the top goal-scorers in the OHL and he recently played for Team Canada at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Ufa, Russia.

And the full training camp roster:

FORWARDS: Artem Anisimov, Cam Atkinson, Jared Boll, Derick Brassard, Matt Calvert, Derek Dorsett, Brandon Dubinsky, Nick Foligno, Colton Gillies, Boone Jenner, Ryan Johansen, Mark Letestu, Derek MacKenzie, Vinny Prospal, R.J. Umberger

DEFENSEMEN: Adrian Aucoin, Tim Erixon, Jack Johnson, John Moore, Nikita Nikitin, David Savard, Fedor Tyutin, James Wisniewski

GOALTENDERS: Sergei Bobrovsky, Steve Mason
