yeah but when your new shiny toy has questionable decision making its not like there is so much hope.

its quite odd we picked him because of that reason but what can you do.

Indeed, I didn't get to watch today but it sounds like it was just more of the same from Dumba. *sigh*

All we've been hearing all year long is how much better he's been defensively under Sutter, his team's won 9 of their last 10 without a strong offense, and he's becoming a better all around defenseman.

Then he just falls on his face with the national team...

Either way, kid is one of the youngest of his draft class, so it's not the end of the world. Murphy likely beat him out for the last spot and is 15 months older than him.

Hopefully, Dumba learns from it and puts on some more muscle and improves. He's always been a more long-term project pick with higher upside but higher risk as well.

Going through the cuts now, Vancouver fans are not happy

Dumba who is complete **** makes it over corrado, what is the point of having a camp.

Speaking of Dumba, they mentioned on the Fan 960 (Calgary) that he was not originally meant to be invited to camp, but some well placed phone calls secured him a spot.

Dumba sucks. He'll be a suspension machine in the NHL.

Canuck fans, vent your anger in our prospects thread in the Canucks forum.

Meh, he should be back next year.

He's still very young after all.

Forget about us being disappointed, I bet Dumba feels even worse right now. I'm surprised to see RNH on the roster though. Is he really bailing on the Barons temporarily just to play in the WJC? It seems like all the other players on the roster are still in either the QMJHL, OHL or WHL.

The WJC is a bigger deal than a few AHL games

I take it Coyle, Larsson, Granlund and Zucker are all ineligible due to their age correct? They're all 20 and you have to be under 20? What Wild prospects are playing in the WJC then? Lucia? Sorry, haven't been paying any attention to the WJC roster stuff lately.

That is correct, Lucia and Bertschy are the only Wild prospects in it

Well MacKinnon is playing right? That's one Wild prospect right there.

Brodin would have be eligible still if it werent for that pesky clavicle. Who knows if the Wild Brass would have let him go though.

It appeared beforehand that Team Sweden was ready to move on without him.

Red Deer is on NHL Network right now, game to be repeated right after.

Is anyone else starting to think that Hackett might not be the guy to go forward with? His play with the Aeros so far this year really has me questioning his capabilities as a goaltender. He certainly doesn't look like our future #1 right now, that's for sure. Maybe a 50/50 split with Harding at best right now.

After watching that red deer game man I have to say there was nothing special about Dumba at all. His outlet passes were brutal and he didn't really flash any of this blazing speed I've heard about. I don't know though maybe he had a long week at the WJ tryouts or something but he didn't look like anything special.
