Sounds like Dumba had a sweet end to end rush for his first goal of the year and their 1st of the game. Didnt see it just heard it on the highlights after 2 periods
That was incredible. His acceleration seemed insane and the finish was pretty. I mean, from his knees? Wow. Just... Incredibly captivating, really.
I hope he continues his excellent performances. A hard-hitting, hard-shooting, fast defenseman? Yes, please.
This This This. Man I wish I would have been watching the stream when that happened. That was some video game **** right there. I have to agree on the acceleration,t hat was fast as ****. It seemed like he picked up the puck from the corner and a second later he was splitting the D at their blue line.
It does look like the far side D had pinched in way to far sneaking in toward the net probably for a one timer in the event that one of his guys came out of that heap with the puck. But the one who was retreating to the red line just got burned.
That speed...wow. What's more impressive than him scoring from his knees was he was actually getting back up onto his feet, while stickhandling, while going full speed, and then going top shelf.

Honestly, I'm less impressed about the goal itself and more impressed on how he was able to maintain balance and focus on the entire play while being brought down and continuously backchecked.
Have you noticed anything different from Dumba to start the year? Faster, stronger, etc...
Because I've only seen highlights of Dumba and he looks faster in that clip than any others that I've watched.
I know the season just started so it might be hard to say.
I wouldn't say he looks stronger, maybe a small bit quicker though.
Also, his anticipation is unbelievable, especially when he has the puck. He knows when defenders are going to attack him and how, giving him the edge on being able to avoid the forecheck, getting pokechecked or being hit.
Not only that, but he can change directions on a dime. He might be the most dynamic defenseman I've ever seen with his ability to do that.

How is his defensive game developed? I think we all know his offensive ability and skating ability is top notch, its his defensive game was always the question.

Hard to say...i've only seen him three times this season and only once live. He still tends to run around a bit too much for my liking from what I've seen, but his stick work has been fantastic and he doesn't lose too many battles in corners or along the wall.
