I was a fan of drafing McNeill at the draft. Maybe trading down a few picks.

Oh how I was wrong. Brodin is so much better. McNeill just looks like that guy who got his man body at 16 and hits his physical peak at age 20.

RS visiting the Wild boards. This is a pleasure.

That was a nasty goal. I'm saving that one.

Don't worry, you weren't the only one.

The Duncan Siemans character didn't have much of a chance...

Believe Dumba played 35-40 minutes of ice time in the 4-3 win against Moose Jaw. He looked very good in both ends of the ice

Is that because the team is too thin at D? I can't imagine regularly playing that much is good for him... That just sounds brutal.

That's a REALLY large chunk of time. Was it OT?

Didn't think he looked tired all game. The commentators were constantly talking about Dumba playing every other minute/not leaving the ice at all.

Yup. Struggled a bit in the 2nd period defensively, but was strong in the 3rd and OT.

i was a fan of ryan murphy, prob biased towards the canadians. only time will tell but if i had to guess, brodin may turn out to be better than murphy

Eh, I never really had a ton of confidence in Bertschy, but I still think he could become a third, maybe second line guy. And it doesn't hurt to have another skill guy in the pipeline.

Plus, if he turns into anything, we'll have all of Switzerland behind us

Thanks sir. Fontaine is my boy.

Its going to be hard for Bertschy to live up to recent late rounders Graovac, Gustafsson, or Haula. Can't hit a home run in the late rounds every year

McKeen ranked 8 of Minnesota's prospect in their top 150 for skaters and 3 goaltenders in their 20 ranking for goaltenders. 11 total prospects, the next I believe had 7 prospects.

Hey guys, RIT fan here - excited to have our first NHL draft pick on the roster this year (obviously guys have left and signed pro contracts afterwards - the most obvious being Chris Tanev - but Hamburg is the first one to come to RIT after being drafted).

Anyway I figured I'll keep you guys updated on his progress with the Tigers this season. Coach Wilson has said that he dropped 15-20 pounds and came into camp in great shape and is expecting big things from him this year, so I'd expect to see him playing in all situations.

We had our exhibition game against the University of Ottawa this past weekend - Hamburg contributed a goal and 2 assists in an 8-1 thumping. Obviously the test gets much harder next week as RIT visits Michigan Thursday and Friday night...unfortunately the road games aren't televised (unless the Big Ten Network decides to show it spontaniously - their website's hockey telecast schedule is still last year's) but I will be watching all of the home games and some of the roadies (many the televised ones against the Buffalo area schools) either in person or on TV.

Thanks for the update!

It's a shame that more college hockey isn't televised.
