Decent. Deflection in front. Knocked it down with what was close to a high stick. They reviewed it, and counted it. Was a clutch goal on the pp, scored fairly late in the third to tie the game at 3.
Reinhart and Corbett were on d. Once I saw Corbett come out I asked myself wtf Laxdall was doing and sure enough they get scored on shorthanded and Corbett was directly involved. Both he and Sautner are a total nightmare out there.
On a positive not this was Mitch Moroz' best game. Huge hit on Ranford, throwing his body around all night and scored his first goal of the season.
On the webcast they said there was 5 forwards out there. I couldn't tell since it was such a quick play. I guess that's what you get when you rely on the radio guys

There were 5 forwards out with 90 seconds to go, after they gave up the shorthanded goal. We made mention that there were two defencemen on the ice at the time of the SH goal.
While Musil would be a great add to the team, the Oil Kings need a different look than he can provide.
They miss Pysyk, big time. Which is obvious because he is a great dman.
Point is, they need what Pysyk brought. A steady, mobile, power play QB. Gernat will provide the offense when he comes back. But the shutdown role belonged to Pysyk, and the Oil Kings could sure use a solid, all around guy.
Ryan Murray is too obvious a choice here. If the Oil Kings have an inkling that Murray won't be headed for Columbus, and are serious about the Memorial cup like they say, they should pay up and bring this guy in.
I may get roasted for the giant risk dealing for Murray would bring, but there isn't a dman that will make a bigger impact on this team.
Musil is the best option. The cost for Murray would be high and unless you could make some of the picks conditional on Murray staying with the team for the season, it just wouldnt be worth the risk.
Im thinking they will wait until near the deadline to make any moves like this. They can win enough games to be in the playoffs and in a good seed the way the team is. No need to panic just yet.

Wouldn't be a bad move attendance wise to bring in a highly touted Oilers' prospect either.
Moroz-Ewanyk-Wilson is a MUCH better fit for Moroz, that line was going last night, largely due to Ewanyk's great play but they were flying and grinding out there. Even looked good together on the PP. Legault being out is unfortunate but it could be the best thing chemistry wise for this team. Of course, everybody looks great in a win though.
I really am beginning to think that Ewanyk has a decent as any shot at the bigs, his hard working game is terrific. Even if he doesn't bring a boatload of offense to the AHL his defensive work, skating and hustle can get him a 3/4 line shot.
St. Croix line was just ON last night... Wruck being back is making a difference in terms of offensive dominance.
Yeah, great down low play from Klarc Wilson at the half boards to Moroz down beside the net, Moroz brought it out front using his body and gave Ewanyk a cross ice on the other side of the net.
